Honkai: Star Rail Sparxie Build Guide: Best Relics, Light Cone, Team Comps, and more

Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 4.0 update introduces Sparxie, a powerful new 5-star Fire character designed as a main damage dealer. This guide will show you how to build and optimize Sparxie, covering her abilities and suggesting the best setups to help her perform at her best.

Elation Mechanisms and Sparxie Gameplay in Honkai: Star Rail

Before we can fully explain Yao Guang, let’s first cover the New Elation Path. Here’s a simple breakdown of how the Elation system works:

Elation Mechanisms

When you have an Elation character in your team, you’ll see mask icons with numbers appear when combat starts. These icons show up on the skill bar, action bar, and next to each Elation character’s health. Elation characters can deal additional damage, and the action bar will indicate when this extra damage – called Aha Instant – will occur.

Okay, so here’s the deal with this ‘Aha Instant’ thing. It looks like only my Elation characters can actually use it. And right now, I can’t boost its power using my characters’ normal stats like HP, attack, or defense – unless the game lets me turn those into Elation stats first. You’ll notice little mask icons popping up, and they always show a number. That number is called a ‘Punchline,’ and it basically tells you how much damage Aha Instant will do. The higher the Punchline number, the more damage it packs!

Each character in Elation has a special skill that either boosts allies or attacks enemies. These skills are used in a specific order, determined by each character’s unique ID, which you can view by tapping their skill icon.

When characters use their Elation Skill, the numbers showing progress on their skill and action bars reset. However, the numbers on each Elation character’s health bar increase. This increase triggers a state called Certified Banger, which provides a buff to the character. These buffs last for two turns and can be stacked for even greater effect, with each stack having its own separate duration.

Honkai: Star Rail Sparxie Best Relics and Planar Ornaments

When creating a build for Sparxie in Honkai: Star Rail, the best relics depend on your team and how you like to play. This guide will cover the relics, main stats, and planar ornaments you should prioritize for Sparxie.

  • Body: CRIT DMG% or CRIT Rate%
  • Feet: SPD
  • Planar Sphere: ATK% or Fire DMG%
  • Link Rope: ATK%

Subsidiary Priority: CRIT Rate/DMG% > ATK% > Fire DMG% > SPD

Ever-Glorious Magical Girl 2-Pc: Increases CRIT DMG by 16%.

4-Pc: The Elation DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprites ignores 10% of targets’ DEF.

For each 5 accumulated Punchline allies gained, the Elation DMG dealt additionally ignores 1% of targets’ DEF, which stacks up to 10 times.

It’s Sparxie’s best relic set. It provides 16% Crit damage and ignore 10% enemies defence. Furthermore, we can reducean extra 10% Defence if Sparxie have 50 Punchline.

Sparxie kit revolves around the punchline mechanism, so it makes perfect synergy with her kit.

Planar Ornaments

Planar Ornaments Effects
Tengoku@Livestream 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 16%. If 3 or more Skill Points are consumed in the same turn, additionally increases CRIT DMG by 32% for 3 turns.

It’s her best in-slot ornament set. Sparxie consume 5+ Skill Points when she unleashes her Ultimate. Sparxie can easily trigger its passive.

Rutilant Arena 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, DMG dealt by Basic ATK and Skill increases by 20%.

It’s a very good alternative if you don’t have the Tengoku@Livestream ornament. If you can achive 70% crit rate with Sparxie, her skill damage increases by 20%.

Honkai: Star Rail Sparxie Best Light Cones

Light Cones Effects
Dazzled by a Flowery World (5*) It’s her signature weapon, which is perfect for her.

Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. While the wearer is on the field, for every Elation character on the team, increases the Skill Point upper limit by 1, up to a max increase of 3.

For every 1 Skill Point the wearer consumes, ignores 5% of enemy targets’ DEF when this unit deals Elation DMG, and increases all allies’ Elation by 5%. This effect can stack up to 4 times.

Light Cone effects of the same type cannot stack.

When She Decided to See (5*) It’s Yao Guang’s signature weapon, but it’s a very good alternative for Sparxie. Provides a buff for the whole team and also increases wearer’s damage.

Increases the wearer’s SPD by 18%. When the wearer enters combat or uses Ultimate on an ally target, the wearer gains “Great Fortune” for 3 turn(s).

Yao Guang’s buff depends on her Elation, so it buffs her and her whole team.

Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures (4*) Another very good 4* alternative for Sparxie, which also buffs the whole team and her own damage.

Increases the wearer’s Elation by 12%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases Elation DMG taken by all enemies by 6% for 2 turn(s).

Best Team Comps for Sparxie in Honkai: Star Rail

Sparxie’s best team comps revolve around Elation-focused teams.

Sparxie/Yao Guang/Sparkle/Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

This is her strongest team composition in Honkai: Star Rail. Sparxie is the primary damage dealer, and her special ability, Aha Instant, delivers a powerful burst of fire damage with multiple hits. Yao Guang supports the team by deploying a zone that boosts Elation damage, building up ‘Punchlines’ through her attacks and skills, and ultimately triggering Sparxie’s Aha Instant. Yao Guang also adds extra damage through her passive ability, following up on attacks.

I’m really excited about Sparkle! She’s our second buffer and is amazing – she boosts our CRIT DMG, speeds up our actions by 50%, and even gives us back 6 Skill Points when she uses her Ultimate. And then we have Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, who’s our support. He keeps everyone safe with a shield and also does some extra damage with his follow-up attacks, which is awesome!

Sparxie/Yao Guang/Sparkle/Huohuo

This is another strong team composition for Sparxie. Like the previous team, it features the same Sparxie, Yao Guang, and Sparkle roles. This time, Huohuo acts as our team’s sustain, providing healing and buffs with her Ultimate ability. Her Ultimate will heal everyone on the team and also restore energy and increase attack power.

Is Sparxie worth Pulling in Honkai: Star Rail

She’s a strong and capable character. To help her reach her full power, all you need is Yao Guang. Her special ability does a lot of damage, and it gets even stronger the more it’s used.
