Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf Build Guide: Best Relics, Light Cone, Team Comps, and more
In the latest update, Version 3.4, for Honkai: Star Rail, the 5-star character Silver Wolf has received an upgrade. This Quantum character is on the Path of Nihility. The following Honkai: Star Rail Silver Wolf Build Guide will provide a comprehensive analysis of her new abilities and offer suggestions to maximize her performance. This guide aims to help players make the most out of the changes in her kit.
Silver Wolf Kit Breakdown
Silver Wolf underwent a major transformation in Honkai: Star Rail, making her a highly effective support character now, possibly one of the best in the game. Her abilities have been revamped to be more efficient, dependable, and user-friendly, particularly for players who found it challenging due to Effect Hit Rate (EHR) requirements or unpredictable weakness implants.
Skill
Initially, her skill initially had an 85% probability of inducing a weakness, which required a significant 97% Effective Hit Rate to ensure success every time. However, the base probability has now been boosted to 120%, reducing the necessary Effective Hit Rate to just 39%.
What truly makes a difference is the very nature of the implant. Now, it operates consistently instead of unpredictably introducing a weakness from your entire squad. Instead, it specifically focuses on the initial character in your roster, leveraging their unique element.
In a recent update, her previous passive abilities have been incorporated into her skill. Now, you won’t need to invest in extra trace for the additional 3% All Type Resistance Reduction as it’s already part of her skill. Moreover, the implant’s duration increase, which was previously accessible only at Ascension level 4, is now included within the skill from the beginning.
Talent
Currently, when an adversary carrying an embedded vulnerability is eliminated, this weakness automatically shifts to another susceptible target, preferably elites or bosses. This transfer also includes the RES Reduction debuff. If the new target already has the same type of weakness, it gets replaced with a fresh implant.
Ultimate
Silver Wolf’s latest revamp significantly enhanced her abilities, transforming her from merely a debuff specialist into a potent Area of Effect (AoE) supporter.

The probability of her ultimate ability’s debuff has increased from 100% to 120%, making it easier to trigger with just a 39% hit rate effectiveness. To clarify, her ultimate now affects all enemies simultaneously instead of just one. Previously, it only reduced the defense and dealt heavy damage to a single enemy, but now it reduces the defense of every character on the field at once.
Instead of maintaining the original single-enemy damage amplifier, they’ve made it effective against all adversaries. To offset this, the toughness breakdown values for her abilities have been adjusted somewhat, aligning them with typical area-of-effect ultimate moves.
Passives
Ascension 2 | Her A2 passive, which affects the bugs she applies, now has a 100% base chance to trigger, just like her Talent and Ultimate. |
Ascension 4 | Her old A4 passive, which used to extend the weakness implant’s duration, has now been baked directly into her Skill. That freed up space for a brand-new passive. At the start of battle, she instantly gains 20 Energy. On top of that, at the start of every turn, Silver Wolf now regenerates 5 Energy. |
Ascension 6 | Her A6 passive, which originally buffed weakness implant duration, is also now built into her Skill. In its place, her new A6 gives her 10% ATK for every 10% EHR, up to a cap of 50% ATK. |

Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf Best Relics and Planar Ornaments
With the significant update Silver Wolf has undergone, her construction possibilities have also seen a transformation. It’s no longer necessary to strictly construct her as a purely Speed and Endurance Reduction/Health Regeneration debuffer.
As a gamer, when aiming for optimal speed in gameplay for faster ultimate rotations, I’d recommend maintaining a minimum of 160 (or even pushing it to 170 if you’re feeling ambitious). For Elemental Burst and Skill (EHR), around 50% to 67% should suffice, although going beyond that might be excessive. Regarding Critical Rate (CRIT), it’s worth considering now since the character scales better with damage. In terms of stats focus, I suggest aiming for a CRIT ratio of approximately 60 to 100, as you work on enhancing your SPD and EHR.
- Body: Effect Hit Rate (for more debuff consistency)/Crit (for sub-DPS role)
- Feet: SPD
- Planar Spear: DMG%/ATK%
- Link Rope: ERR
Relic Set
Eagle of Twilight Line | Eagle of Twilight Line set is still top-tier set for Silver Wolf, especially if you’re running fast Ultimate cycles. |
Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal/Messenger Traversing Hackerspace/Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder | If you’re sticking with a 3-turn Ultimate, you can also go for 2-piece SPD combos |
Genius of Brilliant Stars | Another viable set but not ideal compared to the other previously mentioned ones. |
Planar Ornaments
Penacony, Land of the Dreams | For Planars, you’ll want a 5% energy set so ideally Penacony for carry support |
Lushaka, the Sunken Seas | Another valid option if you don’t have good stats from Penacony. |
Sprightly Vonwacq | Not as great as the other two but still a viable option. |
Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf Best Light Cone

Lies Dance on the Breeze (5*) | If you want pure damage amplification for the team, Cipher’s Light Cone is the best one for a sub-dps Silver Wolf. As long as you’re not over-capping on Defense, this one is the best. |
Before the Tutorial Mission Starts (4*) | Most F2P friendly LC for Silver Wolf that gives more utility than other 5-Star LCs. Best in S5. |
Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat (4*) | Another good F2P option. |
Holiday Thermae Escapade (4*) | The new Battle Pass Nihility Cone (especially at S5) is also very effective. |
Incessant Rain (5*) | Silver Wolf’s Light Cone isn’t that bad but other Light Cones are alot more viable to use. |
Best Team Comps for Silver Wolf in Honkai Star Rail
Through her revamp, Silver Wolf becomes a versatile character who can seamlessly fit into numerous team configurations. In many instances, she surpasses or matches top-tier universal support champions, particularly in situations with fewer targets or against opponents who are not vulnerable to your damage dealer’s element. Here, we will discuss ideal team setups and scenarios where Silver Wolf really excels.
Due to her persistent use of a single-focus amplifier (implanted enhancement, DEF erosion, and RES reduction), Silver Wolf is capable of taking almost any non-elemental damage dealer through tough battles.
1. Acheron Team + Silver Wolf
As a gamer, I’ve found that the Silver Wolf seamlessly integrates into Acheron’s Nihility meta teams, particularly for low-target content such as Apocalyptic Shadow or Memory of Chaos elite floors. In E0 Acheron, you can run Silver Wolf with Cipher or Jiaoqiu, depending on your SP requirements and target count. For E2 Acheron, an E0 Silver Wolf becomes a top-tier Nihility pick. However, do take note that her SP cost is quite high, so pair her with units that generate SP or basic attackers to compensate for this.
2. Silver Wolf + Mydei + Sunday + Luocha Teams
In this configuration, it excels when you aim to artificially instill vulnerability known as “Imaginary Weakness” against enemies who aren’t inherently weak to it. Characters such as Sunday or Mydei take the initial position, ensuring that Silver Wolf is able to inflict this weakness. This makes teams leveraging “Imaginary” element effective almost everywhere. The combination of Mydei, Sunday, Silver Wolf, and Luocha creates a well-balanced team capable of breaking both Imaginary and Fire defenses. If you prefer Bronya over Sunday, Luocha can take the healer role instead, with Mydei still occupying the first position to guarantee the weakness implant function works as intended.
3. Silver Wolf + Castorice RMC
In the game Apocalyptic Shadow, the character known as Silver Wolf truly shines when it comes to defeating bosses. This is mainly due to her reliable ability to impose weakness on enemies and her high capacity for dealing damage to toughness. A team composition such as Castorice, RMC, Silver Wolf, and a healer provides an advantage in managing dragon spawns and controlling the damage thresholds over teams that include Tribbie, particularly during single-target phases, due to its increased consistency.
Is Silver Wolf worth pulling in HSR
Without a doubt, Silver Wolf is an excellent choice following her upgrade. Now, she consistently inflicts weaknesses according to your team composition, requires less Effect Hit Rate, and provides significant damage amplification through AoE Defense reduction and Resistance decrease. She’s versatile and performs exceptionally well in off-element battles and situations with fewer targets. Furthermore, she contributes solid self-damage too. Whether you’re using Acheron, mono-element teams, or simply require a powerful universal support, Silver Wolf offers top-level value even at E0!
