HoYoverse is preparing to launch the Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2 update, entitled “Through the Petals in the Land of Repose,” on 9th April 2025. This update offers fresh maps and significant storyline developments within the world of Amphoreus, along with introducing two new 5-star playable characters: Castorice and Anaxa!

New Area – The Ruined City of Styxia

Let’s discuss legends and discovery, as Styxia could be one of the most spine-tingling spots in HSR so far. A submerged, ghostly city teeming with massive dragon skeletons and agitated spirits? The atmosphere is perfect! We’re delving into an age-old enigma linked to the Titans and a draconic catastrophe.

The tale isn’t merely about spirits and decay. Instead, it includes intricate political strife unfolding in Okhema, hidden partnerships, and an influential council known as the Council of Elders attempting to halt everything. Simultaneously, the enigmatic scholar Anaxa remains in the shadows, pursuing a clandestine purpose.

New Playable Characters in HSR Version 3.2

Castorice

Castorice is a top-tier Quantum Unit, adhering to the Path of Recollection. Her arsenal primarily focuses on her Spectral Dragon, which sacrifices its own health points to deal massive damage.

She also features an extraordinary resurrection system, functioning as a universal passive ability. In simple terms, this implies that whenever a member of your team perishes, they will be brought back to life. Remarkably, this resurrection mechanism operates effectively, even if Castorice isn’t part of the active team!

Anaxa

Anaxa is a five-star wind-based combat unit that adheres to the scholarly path. His gameplay strategy primarily involves inflicting weakness and rapidly launching follow-up attacks. His ultimate ability immediately stacks weakness onto all opponents, making it useful for breaching shields.

Rerun Banners

In case you didn’t catch it, Fugue, Jiaoqiu, and Acheron will make their comeback during the initial part of the event, followed by the appearance of Dr. Ratio in the latter half.

Balance Changes for Older Units

In Version 3.4 update, Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu will receive enhancements. The specifics are still unknown, but given the extent of power shift we’ve seen so far, it seems overdue!

Anniversary Celebration: Free Pulls and Characters

This update is joining Star Rail’s 2-year celebration by offering fantastic free items! The special event called “Festive Gifts” will reward you with 20 free pulls simply for logging in, which is quite generous. However, the cherry on top comes on April 26th, the actual anniversary day, when a commemorative card from a companion and 1,600 Stellar Jades will be delivered to your inbox!
