Honda’s Rugged 2026 Passport Lands at Dealers
Honda has officially unveiled the 2026 Passport – an aggressive and expedition-friendly midsize SUV that’s hitting dealerships soon. The completely revamped design boasts a bolder look, off-road upgrades, and a powerful V6 engine. Targeted towards young, energetic explorers who crave both power and comfort, the new Passport is ready to meet their adventurous spirit.
For the year 2026, the Passport lineup will feature three models: the well-appointed RTL, the TrailSport tailored for off-roading, and the recently added TrailSport Elite. All models come equipped with Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system as standard, alongside a powerful 3.5L V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters are included for improved performance whether you’re driving on or off the beaten track.
As an enthusiastic admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Honda is proudly showcasing the Passport TrailSport as their most off-road competent SUV ever made! This beast comes equipped with an off-road-tailored suspension, robust steel skid plates, all-terrain tires, and eye-catching recovery hooks. The premium TrailSport Elite model takes things up a notch by introducing the TrailWatch camera system, luxurious ventilated leather seats, and a top-notch 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, making every off-road adventure a high-tech, immersive experience!
The Passport is specifically designed for off-road adventures and boasts an extensive variety of authentic Honda Accessories, such as rock sliders, a rooftop platform, and the reintroduction of a collapsible picnic table. With seven different option packages available, consumers can tailor their SUVs to their preferences, adding features like the Adventure Package, Pet Package, or the sporty HPD Package.
Honda has enhanced the safety elements in the Passport model across all versions, incorporating a revamped Honda Sensing system, sophisticated airbags, and innovative driver-assistance tools. The updated Passport offers not only robust performance but also practicality for daily use, boasting increased cargo area, an upgraded interior, and contemporary technology.
The new Honda Passport is available for order now and starts at $44,750 USD.
