Homelander actor visits costume fitters ahead of The Boys season 5

As a die-hard fan of The Boys, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and dread as we approach the final season. The show has been a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions, with its morally challenged superheroes keeping us on the edge of our seats. And let’s be honest, some of these characters have overstayed their welcome and deserve a good old-fashioned superhero beatdown.

Wrapping up on Amazon Prime Video, the fourth season of “The Boys” has concluded. With only one more season remaining, viewers are bracing themselves for a climactic bloodbath. Over the years, the series has been renowned for its graphic violence and immoral superheroes meeting grisly ends in various ingenious manners. Now, even major characters are at risk, and there are certain characters on this show whose demise fans eagerly anticipate.

Eric Kripke, the showrunner, hinted to TV Guide that any character who meets their end in season five will have truly earned it. However, they are still working on the final season scripts, so things might change. As for who survives and who doesn’t, they have a general idea but not everything is set in stone. Since this is the last season, each character has a chance to determine their own fate, implying not everyone will make it.

As a devoted fan, I can confidently express my anticipation that the ruthless superhero-turned-president, Homelander, is poised for his comeuppance in the upcoming season 5. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this moment of justice for quite some time now. Interestingly, Antony Starr, who breathes life into Homelander, shared a picture of himself with Laura Jean Shannon and her costume team, hinting at the foundation being set for season 5, despite the storyline still being under development.

Could you tell me what I see in the distance over there? Kripke, in his Instagram post, seems to be asking if it might just be… Season 5?

Kripke, Starr, and their team are generating excitement for the last season well ahead of schedule. Regrettably, it seems we won’t be able to watch new episodes anytime soon, as lead actor Karl Urban (The Butcher) predicts a two-year wait. So, we’ll meet again in 2026! Fortunately, Amazon plans to air the second season of the The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, somewhere around the middle, which should keep fans entertained until the main show comes back for its grand finale.
