Just one month before the premiere, Prime Video dropped the final trailer for The Boys season 5. This trailer offers the most extensive look yet at the show’s last season and the epic battle to come against Homelander. You can watch it below.
Now that season 4 of The Boys has ended, the new trailer shows just how far Homelander’s control has grown. But Billy Butcher and the rest of the team aren’t giving up – they’re determined to stop him. With Homelander trying to become immortal, time is running out.
The trailer for The Boys season 5 officially reveals Jaz Sinclair and London Thor, who play Marie Moreau and Jordan Li, alongside Starlight. Building on storylines from The Boys season 4 and Gen V season 2, the trailer offers this first glimpse. Although other characters from Gen V aren’t featured in the trailer, they may still appear in the new season.
Okay, so I just saw some footage from the final season of The Boys, and it looks like Jensen Ackles is really leaning into his role as Soldier Boy. But honestly, the coolest part for me was seeing him reunite with his Supernatural co-stars, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins! Apparently, Eric Kripke, the showrunner, brought them on board for some mystery roles, and the trailer gave us another peek. As a longtime Supernatural fan, it was such a fun surprise!

It appears Collins’ character has angered Soldier Boy, as evidenced by Ackles choking him. Meanwhile, Padelecki’s character doesn’t seem happy with the situation unfolding between Collins and Soldier Boy.
During a panel discussion for The Boys at FAN EXPO 2025, hosted by ScreenRant, Karl Urban hinted that Season 5 will be particularly shocking. He warned fans to expect major character deaths, even early in the first episode, signaling a significant escalation of stakes and confirming that no character is safe. He emphasized that these early losses will quickly establish the very real danger facing everyone.
Season 5 of The Boys will begin streaming on April 8th. The first two episodes will be available immediately, and then new episodes will be released each week until May 20th.
