Home and Away star Tammin Sursok shares horrific health scare photos after stepping in ant nest
Last week, Tammin Sursok shared a startling video on Instagram, showcasing a severely swollen ankle due to an alarming allergic response triggered by ant bites.
On Saturday, the Australian actress, aged 41, shared with her followers that she had accidentally stepped on a fire ant hill and was bitten seven times.
In response to a severe reaction, the actor from Home and Away developed agonizing-looking blisters while her ankle significantly enlarged nearly thrice its original size.
In a different instance when we’re talking about Tammin having a fear of bugs and insects, it turns out that encountering an ant nest was quite problematic for her… She expressed that she had been bitten by seven ants, after stepping on their nest.
‘Ran into my house and yelled at everyone, “Don’t be worried. I’m taking off all my clothes.”‘

Later on, Tammin decided to share a poll via her Stories, inquiring whether her followers were interested in viewing a picture showing her allergic response to ant bites.
It seems most of her followers approved, since she shared the surprising photo soon after.
Tammin’s post reads, ‘Fire ants aren’t a laughing matter! I’m glad the swelling is decreasing now. The entire area around her ankle was affected,’ describing the picture.
The photo saw her ankle looking very red and swollen with several large blisters marring the skin.
A short while ago, Tammin shared an unexpected health news, which came about after a regular medical examination she had due to a spider bite.
As a devoted admirer, I found myself sharing similar circumstances with an esteemed Australian actress last March when I was bitten. The very next day, I paid a visit to my general practitioner for a routine check-up, ensuring a thorough evaluation of the affected area.
Initially, my ordinary visit to the neighborhood clinic seemed uneventful. However, an unexpected discovery by my doctor quickly transformed the tranquil atmosphere into a troubling one.
The story started unfolding as Tammin, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, shared with her Instagram audience that she had been bitten.

Posting a picture of a small lump on her arm, she commented: ‘Even though I hail from Australia, one might assume I’d be well-versed in spiders.’
‘One just bit me. It’s so painful. Do I just do the ring around the spot and watch it?’
Tammin seemed unfazed by the bite, since she was due for a regular check-up with her physician the next day anyway.
In the GP’s waiting area, she informed others that the affected bite had turned significantly reddish.
‘Last night, I thought the spider bite had healed. The pain improved a bit. But this morning… (shocked emoji)’.
However, only a few hours after, Tammin received more troubling news from her doctor, as they discovered an ‘unanticipated’ issue during her examination.
Tammin told her followers that the health issue she’s experiencing has nothing to do with a spider bite. She had an ultrasound done for more investigation, but she hasn’t gotten the results back yet.
She shared that she received surprising news from the doctor, maintaining a positive attitude. She kindly asks for your supportive thoughts as she navigates this situation. Here’s a selfie to illustrate her spirit.

‘Always advocate for your health. Ask for second opinions. Trust your gut.’
Tammin later uploaded a video to her Stories as she sat in her car after the doctor’s visit.
Just returned from my annual check-up at the doctor’s office. She emphasized its significance.
Meanwhile, unrelated to the spider, they stumbled upon something rather surprising. As a result, I underwent an ultrasound examination.
I don’t have much more information at the moment, but I’m keeping a very optimistic outlook. Thanks for inquiring. I won’t be able to share anything new until I do have something new to share.
As a die-hard admirer, I ended my video saying, “I can only hope that everything is going smoothly. Sending you buckets full of optimism!
At present, Tammin resides in Nashville alongside her spouse, Sean McEwen, whom she wed in a beautiful Italian wedding ceremony back in 2011.
The couple share two daughters—Phoenix, 11, and Lennon, five.
