Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou reveals why her relationship with her co-star James Stewart is better off-screen: ‘It’s really lovely’

The experienced actress, age 47, shared with 2Day FM’s Hughesy, Ed, and Erin that her real-life connection with Stewart, also 48, was more “satisfying” than their portrayed relationship in the soap opera.

Leah has been kidnapped multiple times, and in an unexpected turn of events, she brandished a knife toward Justin. In reality, our lives are quite uneventful.
Since 1998, they have been acquainted after working together on the brief Channel Ten soap opera “Breakers.” In 2016, when Stewart became part of the cast, they have frequently appeared on “Home and Away” together.
Ada found it remarkable how their long-friendship transformed into a romantic relationship – yet they maintained a strict professional boundary while filming together.
She shared that we have a deep-rooted friendship, having known one another for an impressive quarter of a century. The recent turn of events took us by surprise, yet we find ourselves elated and truly enjoying this new chapter in our lives.
She remarked, “We maintain a clear boundary between our personal and professional lives. We’ve had a great working relationship since the beginning. On set, we get along wonderfully, and that hasn’t changed.”
Ada finally broke her silence on her romance with James earlier this month.
The lovebirds were first linked earlier this year when they were seen sharing a kiss on Anzac Day.
Since then, there have been reports that the couple’s relationship is progressing and they might be planning to live together. However, they have kept quiet about their romantic involvement.
In an interview with a magazine, Ada admitted unexpectedly that she had been romantically involved with her long-term acting partner James for some time.
She shared with Stellar Magazine that Jimmy and I are new partners. It’s still the beginning of our relationship. The development is quite recent and took us both by surprise. I’m extremely joyful about it, and I find this experience truly delightful.
She firmly maintained that the on-screen marriage of Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan in Home And Away did not indicate an early start to their real-life romantic relationship.
Last Christmas, Ada ended her relationship with Adam Riggy, while James divorced Sarah Roberts in March. Shortly following these events, the two started dating.
