Hollywood’s nastiest divorce takes shocking turn… and ALISON BOSHOFF reveals what it could mean for actor’s new wife

The already messy divorce between actors Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans has taken a new turn – Gruffudd will now be handling his own legal representation in court.

On October 2nd, Ioan submitted a document to the Los Angeles Superior Court stating he will now represent himself in the case.

This could allow him to question his wife, Bianca Gruffudd, his former wife, Evans, and other people involved, while they are testifying. Bianca, age 33, and Ioan, 52, say that Evans, 57, is still bothering them, but Evans claims this isn’t true.

In August, Ioan’s lawyer, Matt Russakow, a highly regarded professional, asked the court to allow him to withdraw from the case. He stated that he and Ioan had a serious disagreement that made it impossible for them to continue working together.

Russakow was Ioan’s lawyer in a case concerning his attempt to renew a domestic violence restraining order. Ioan originally obtained the three-year order against Evans in August 2022, claiming she had sent him numerous harassing texts and tweets, including one particularly offensive message that read: ‘Some vixen has your nuts between her veneers.’

A previous court order required Evans to avoid contact with Ioan and Bianca and prohibited her from discussing them publicly, including on social media. Now, he’s asking the court to make this order permanent, claiming she’s continued to harass him with numerous messages online – a claim she disputes.

Russakow resigned after Ioan revealed text messages in a legal document. These messages, allegedly from Ioan’s daughters Ella and Elsie, claimed he hadn’t helped them when they faced eviction for not paying rent. Ioan claims his ex-wife wrote the messages, but she disputes this.

In one his daughter Ella, 15, apparently wrote: ‘You left us and now you can’t provide for us.

It’s time for you to find work. Supporting your partner isn’t enough. You’ve neglected your children, haven’t seen or spoken to them, and don’t even bother with gifts. It’s upsetting, and people notice.

If you have enough money to make sure we don’t end up without a home, why aren’t you helping us? It seems like you dislike Mom more than you care about us.

If they can’t agree on child and spousal support, and what to do with the current restraining order, they’ll have a mediation conference in December and may need to go to court for a full week next year.

Ioan’s lawyer handling the financial aspects of his divorce remains the same. The actor, known for his roles in ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Hornblower’, was in court last month with his pregnant wife, Bianca.

He reportedly began dating Bianca, an actress, in late 2020 after they met on the set of his TV show, ‘Harrow,’ where she worked as an extra. He ended his relationship with Evans in January 2021, and he and Bianca publicly confirmed their relationship in October of that year.

Bianca strongly denies that they were together romantically when he was still married.

Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans first met while filming ‘102 Dalmatians’ in 2000. They finalized their divorce two years ago.

Both Evans and Ioan claim they’re struggling financially. Evans states that the $3,000 monthly child support and $1,500 monthly spousal support payments from Ioan aren’t enough to cover expenses.

Let me tell you, navigating finances can be really tough, and sometimes things just pile up. In a recent court filing, this woman detailed some serious financial struggles. She explained she’s behind on her utility bills and unfortunately fell behind on rent at her previous Beverly Hills apartment – to the tune of $6,500 a month, which ultimately led to an eviction. On top of that, she’s also facing a $35,000 legal bill. It’s a clear illustration of how quickly debt can become overwhelming, and it’s a reminder to always prioritize financial stability and seek help when needed.

This summer, she and her daughters relocated to a small house in Encino, a suburb of the San Fernando Valley.

Ioan is trying to lower his payments and explains that he can’t find a job that pays more.

In a court document filed last year, Evans expressed remorse for her actions that resulted in the restraining order issued in the summer of 2022, and stated she hadn’t been in touch with him for several years.

She acknowledged she understood the court’s decision to issue the restraining order and expressed regret for sending the messages and posting on social media.

I was deeply hurt and upset by the sudden end of our marriage. It was especially painful because Ioan quickly announced his new relationship on social media, and our oldest daughter found out about it through Instagram.

When officially questioned about how many times his ex-partner had violated the court order, Ioan stated it had happened ‘around 5,000 times’.

This works out to an average of 138 instances per month – about four times a day. Evans insists this isn’t happening. Ioan alleges his former wife has been harassing him, primarily through fake Twitter accounts, and he’s also stated in court documents that she has physically stalked him.

In a court document, she strongly denied the claims of stalking, stating, ‘There’s no proof whatsoever that I stalked them. I don’t even know where they live, and I wouldn’t want to stalk them – it’s absurd.’

She also refutes Ioan’s claim that she deliberately made herself homeless to damage his reputation, calling the idea ridiculous.

When Ella was 15, a difficult situation occurred during a court-ordered visit with her father. It was the first time she met his new girlfriend.

She admitted she didn’t want to meet Bianca, and Ioan stated in legal documents that Ella became very angry when Bianca was around and damaged their apartment.

The teen applied for a restraining order against her father, which was not granted.
