Tom Holland, Brie Larson, and Harrison Ford, among others, have all shown exceptional gratitude towards their stunt counterparts who often work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the safety and success of the films they are a part of.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but acknowledge that stunt doubles frequently shine behind the spotlight, risking their wellbeing and safety in perilous scenarios for the sake of cinematic brilliance.
Instead of using a body double, Jennifer Aniston opted to endure getting soaked in oil during the filming of The Morning Show herself, rather than taking a week off.
Income from body double work can range anywhere between approximately £8,500 and £216,000 per year, with an average salary hovering around £38,762. Few individuals at the pinnacle of this profession manage to earn a six-figure income annually.

In the realm of my recent experiences, I found myself soaked in oil during the shooting of a new chapter for The Morning Show’s forthcoming fourth season earlier this week.
During filming in New York City, the 55-year-old actress looked genuinely startled as a protester pretending to be concerned about climate change splashed a container filled with imitation oil on her.
Immediately upon stepping onto the set, she was noticed sporting a flawless outfit. However, it wasn’t long before a dark, sticky substance similar to tar stained her white blouse, khakis, and even trickled down her sleeves.
She maintained an unhappy expression and gave off a dissatisfied vibe as she carried on recording the turbulent situation, all while embodying the character of Alex Levy, a fictitious TV anchor, and delivering live broadcasts from what appeared to be a staged demonstration.
Upon her arrival at the set, she was seen with her stand-in, both dressed identically in a white, sleeveless button-down blouse and khaki-flared dress pants, yet it appears that she rarely utilized this duplicate instead.
They both had an orange leather crossbody bag made from woven material, and they each sported a delicate gold wristwatch.
The blonde duo left their straight hair down and looked radiant in a light, dewy makeup look.
Jason Momoa
In the past, Jason Momoa acknowledged and expressed gratitude towards his stunt double, Kim Fardy, for their collaborative efforts in Fast X and Aquaman productions.
The pair, both adorning stylish purple silk shirts paired with equally vibrant wide-legged trousers, struck poses for photographs simultaneously on the filming location.
Jason and Kim rocked their long waved tresses in high ponytails and the same facial hair.

To portray the character convincingly, Kim – who is only slightly shorter than Jason at around 6ft 3in – shared that he needed to build more muscle mass and let his hair on his head and face grow out extensively to mimic the leading man’s dense hair.
Sophie Turner
In the hit series Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner’s understudy bears such a striking resemblance to Sansa Stark that even Joe Jonas, her then-fiancé, occasionally got them confused during filming.
Laura Butler from Ireland was often mistaken for Sophie on set, and even Sophie herself found their physical resemblance ‘strange’.
Following her enrollment with an extra casting service, Laura received a phone call asking if she was available to take on a stand-in role during the last season of the show, scheduled for October 2017.
Often, cast and team members frequently confused Laura with her counterpart. On several occasions, they even extended congratulations for her recent engagement, only to realize their error later.
It wasn’t until Sophie disclosed during an interview that Joe attempted to kiss his body double, that Laura understood he had mistaken them for one another.
Previously, TopMob was graced with the words: “Many backstage folks did a doubletake when they saw me, chuckling that my gait resembles hers.” To put it in my own enthusiastic terms as an ardent admirer, I’d say, “I’ve been told more than once by those working behind the scenes that I not only look like my idol but also mimic her walk! It could be that there were aspects about her I didn’t perceive or acknowledge, while others were observing traits in me that I wasn’t aware of. It was peculiar.
Once upon another occasion, while on the film set, Maisie Williams joined us, and after glancing at me, she turned to Sophia and showed astonishment at our striking resemblance and uncanny similarities.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman
It might seem like someone’s sight was hazy, considering that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman shot the movie Deadpool 3 last year.
During the filming of fight scenes for the newest Marvel series, the main actors were accompanied by two stand-ins who specialize in stunts.
On their specially designed filming stage, Ryan wore his character’s bright red suit as he engaged in an intense fight scene opposite Hugh’s famed Wolverine character, with cameras capturing every moment.
On the set, Hugh was observed adopting various poses, embodying his role as Wolverine, a part he portrayed in the successful film Logan, which hit cinemas in 2017.
As an ardent admirer, I found myself standing there, my heart pounding, as he donned a striking ensemble of yellow and gray. With every fiber in my being yearning for the spectacle to unfold, I watched him ready himself to engage with Reynolds – a man who held not just one, but two legendary katana swords alight, their gleaming edges promising an exhilarating showdown.
Afterward, their team expanded with stand-ins who wore matching outfits, as they tackled the action-packed parts of the scene together.
Isla Fisher
She is known for her fiery red hair.
In addition, the stand-ins who looked remarkably like Isla Fisher served as her stunt doubles, and they all captivated viewers with their identical wavy, side-parted hair.
In 2021, these three ladies struck a cheerful pose together during a photoshoot on set, each donning a green ribbed sweater and blue denim jeans.
Isla posted a picture of the three, each standing with their back to the camera, as a tribute for National Redhead Day.
‘Happy National Redhead Day from me and my two sisters,’ Isla captioned the post.
In addition, Isla posted a photo featuring her secret stand-in during the shooting of the comedy movie Tag back in 2017.
Smiling directly at the camera, Isla and her wig-wearing twin both wore identical green polo shirts and black leggings.
Arron Taylor Johnson
Last year, in 2022, I was absolutely thrilled to witness the rugged duo, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his doppelgänger stuntman, strutting their stuff on the set of “Kraven The Hunter”! What a sight for sore eyes!
The actor displayed his well-toned body by wearing a snug, open-fronted white shirt, revealing a peek of his chest.
In a well-tailored manner, he donned a pair of crisp black pants, mirrored by his stunt double who also wore an identical ensemble.
The pair both wore the same necklace which featured a white tooth hanging on a black string.
Chris Hemsworth
Hollywood legend Chris Hemsworth doesn’t hold back when it comes to preparing for a role.
Bobby Holland Hanton, who often stood in for Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the films, has shared his experiences about how Chris tested him to the maximum during the final movie of the superhero series.
In eight weeks, the megastar asked Bobby to gain muscle for the movie Thor: Blood and Thunder – this was shared by the stuntman.
In order for Bobby, who often takes over the role of the superstar in specific action sequences, to authentically portray Thor, he needed to gain approximately 10 kilograms of muscle and consume around 4,000 calories daily.
As someone standing at approximately 6 feet tall, I found myself needing to adopt a rigorous exercise and diet plan in comparison to Chris Hemsworth’s towering 6 feet 4 inches.
In 2020, Bobby disclosed the genuine personality of the actor portraying Thor.
The British athlete shared with the Australian radio presenters that he enjoys a strong bond and mutual comprehension with Chris.
‘The actors I work with work really hard, especially Chris,’ Bobby said.
Bobby disclosed that Chris typically performs the stunts, except when a risky maneuver might cause injury to the actor and potentially slow down filming.

During the production of Jurassic World Dominion, Chris Pratt shared on Instagram that it requires an entire community to portray him.
In the action/sci-fi films, the actor playing Owen Grady was captured standing with three of his stand-ins from the movie set.
Chris was spotted, dressed in his well-known khaki shirt layered over a navy sweater, denim pants, and boots, accompanied by Clay Chamberlin, Alistair Whitton, and Chris Romrell, each of whom sported the identical attire.
The Hollywood star wrote: ‘It takes a village of me’s to be me’.
Tom Holland
After the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, Tom Holland expressed gratitude towards his stunt performers, Luke Scott and Greg Townley, acknowledging their contributions to the movie.
He seemed in good spirits as he shared a snap from the set as the trio wore matching Spider-Man suits.

I proudly accepted the Best Fight Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards for my portrayal of Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel, and I took a moment to pay tribute to the incredible work of my two female stunt doubles. Their skill and dedication truly exemplify what it means to shine in this industry.
As a committed follower, pouring countless hours into sculpting my physique for the role and capturing the intense scenes, it was undeniably rewarding when I stood there with my doubles, Joanna Bennett and Renae Moneymaker, accepting the well-deserved award together.
“Larson, clearly thrilled, exclaimed ‘This is amazing!’ as she received her golden popcorn trophy, sharing the moment with the two other women.”

Money maker shared that she and Bennett have a shared history, having grown up side by side, and that as children, they harbored the same dreams and goals.
Growing up, I dreamt of emulating the fierce spirit and unmatched prowess of Lara Croft and G.I. Jane. Now, it’s an incredible privilege to contribute to this character, hoping to share some of their inspiring resilience and strength that left such a lasting impact on me.
Harrison Ford
In the movies ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, Mike Massa, a skilled stunt coordinator, took on the thrilling role of standing in for Harrison Ford during some of the high-risk action scenes.
Previously, Harrison has filmed intense scenes for numerous blockbuster movies on set multiple times.
Mike was seen sporting several black dots drawn on his face for CGI in post-production.
After the sequences, Harrison and Mike stood for a joint photograph, both wearing identical leather jackets and shirts.

Amy Shumer
2018 saw spectators possibly experiencing a moment of surprise or confusion, as comedian Amy Schumer was captured on set alongside her look-alike, Meredith Richardson, during the filming of “I Feel Pretty.”
The actress and the stunt performer had striking similarity, with both sporting long, well-braided blonde hair.
The duo also sported matching black and white long sleeved top and navy tracksuit bottoms as they posed on set.
She wrote: ‘2nd movie with @bamastunts and couldn’t love her more!’
