Hollywood’s favorite wild Halloween party CANCELLED by A-list hosts George Clooney and Rande Gerber
As a die-hard fan of Casamigos Halloween bashes since their inception, I must admit that the news about their cancellation this year has left me feeling like a kid on Christmas morning who woke up to find only coal under the tree. The annual soiree, hosted by the legendary duo George Clooney and Rande Gerber, is an event I eagerly anticipate every year, marking the epitome of Hollywood glamour and good times.
Halloween weekend is going to look at little different this year for Hollywood’s A-list stars.
According to TMZ reports, George Clooney and Rande Gerber have apparently called off their well-known Casamigos Halloween party because of a scheduling issue.
2018 marked the commencement of our yearly gathering, which usually takes place the day preceding Halloween at my business partner Mike Meldman’s luxurious Beverly Hills residence, valued at approximately $9 million.
George and Rande have served as the invite-only event’s hosts since its inception six years ago.
However, reports suggest that neither George nor Rande can organize the 2024 event, leading Casamigos to call off the soiree instead.
Both George and Rande have prior obligations that are keeping them attending.
George will reportedly be out of town filming an undisclosed project.
Meanwhile, insiders dished that Rande will be ‘away’ with supermodel wife Cindy Crawford.
Every year, the Casamigos Halloween bash draws the hottest names from Tinseltown – stars like Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, and Megan Fox, for instance.
In 2013, Rande teamed up with friends George and Mike to establish a tequila company, which they led until 2017. That year, they decided to sell their brand to Diageo.
George was noticeably absent from last year’s Halloween party — forcing Rande to be the sole host.
As I, a die-hard enthusiast, strutted my way through the party, draped in my beloved Danny Zuko costume, I couldn’t have pulled off those iconic moves without my partner in crime, Cindy, by my side. She was the Sandy to my Danny, the perfect duo, as we dazzled everyone with our Grease costumes and our synchronized steps.
The first-ever Casamigos Halloween party went down on October 27, 2018.
Instead of being held in Beverly Hills, the bash was thrown at the swanky ARIA hotel in Las Vegas.
Since then, co-founder Mike’s private Beverly Hills residence has been the party hub.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Casamigos had to come up with a more inventive plan for their Halloween celebration.
Instead of having a traditional indoor party, they organized a Casamigos Halloween “Celebration Comes to You” event, which was more like a walk-through experience. Attendees were asked to wear masks and maintain a safe distance from one another.
The event returned in full force the following year.
2023 saw Rande opening up to Rolling Stone about organizing one of Los Angeles’ grandest Halloween parties, sharing the origin of this spectacular event.
He shared that just as our tequila is meant for enjoyable and festive moments with friends, so too was our goal to host an annual Casamigos Halloween party, where we could share in the joy and merriment with our circle of companions. (This version attempts to maintain the original’s tone while using more varied sentence structures.)
Generally speaking, Halloween is an occasion where many people enjoy pretending to be someone else, often with the aid of some Casamigos Tequila helping them feel less self-conscious.
Rande revealed that he creates ‘a special Casamigos playlist’ for each party they throw.
He said that at the start of the evening, the music tends to be more relaxed, making it ideal for conversations and social interaction.
As the evening progresses and the party gains momentum, we crank up the volume and play a mix of classic dance tracks along with some fresh hits.
Randey shared that the music varies during the evening, transitioning from smooth R&B tunes, to country songs, then to hip-hop beats, and finally to dance tracks.
