A Hollywood legend looked completely unrecognisable on the set of his new NFL movie this week.

In the upcoming film titled “Madden,” the 51-year-old actor takes on the role of Al Davis, who was the late proprietor and executive of the Oakland Raiders football team.

Instead of his typical dashing, shaggy brunette hairstyle, the star sported a sleeked-back ‘do, giving him an entirely different, less rugged appearance.

He donned a rugged brown leather coat, a white shirt, and some dark pants while roaming about the movie location.

That’s right, it’s heartthrob Christian Bale! 

In this David O. Russell biographical film, a stellar lineup graces the screen: Nicolas Cage assumes the role of Madden, Christian Bale portrays Al Davis, while comedian John Mulaney embodies Trip Hawkins, the pioneer behind Electronic Arts.

In this scenario, the actor Cage assumes the role previously held by John Madden, who transitioned from being a head coach for the Raiders to becoming a broadcaster. Meanwhile, Sienna Miller portrays Madden’s spouse on screen.

For thirty-nine years, from 1972 to 2011, Al served as the primary owner, the managing general partner, and essentially the head manager of the Oakland Raiders football team in the National Football League.

Earlier this week, Sienna Miller and Kathryn Hahn were seen on the Atlanta, Georgia set dressed up in costumes, transforming their appearances beyond recognition.

On Monday, Kathryn, aged 51, and Sienna, both playing the roles of John Madden and Al Davis’ wives, seemed as if they had stepped right out of another time in their stylish vintage clothing while preparing to immerse themselves in their characters.

43-year-old Sienna exuded elegance with her abundant, wavy blonde hairdo, adorned with intricate bead necklaces, and a captivating dress boasting a 60s-inspired pattern that sparkled.

In an interesting twist, the actress portraying Virginia Madden, namely Hahn, was dressed up in oversized sunglasses, a fashionable pea coat, and a striped turtleneck, accompanied by a purple water bottle that momentarily broke her on-screen persona.

Sienna portrays Carol Davis, the spouse of Al (Oakland Raiders owner) from 1954 till his passing in 2011.

While the Raiders are now in Las Vegas, the team has remained in the Davis family since Al passed. 

Currently, Carol holds a part-ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, which she inherited from her late spouse.

Their only child, son Mark Davis, 70, also inherited the organization and is now owner.

When John died, she expressed, “I thought it would be fitting to hold a gathering at the Colosseum,” she said. “I believe he’s watching over us now from above, and I can see him smiling down on his players who are here and all the fans who have supported him for such a long time.

The forthcoming Madden movie traces the life of the renowned sports personality, John Madden, who’s being guided by director David O. Russell in its production.

The biographical film features a high-caliber ensemble, with Nicolas Cage portraying Madden, Christian Bale embodying Al Davis, and John Mulaney taking on the role of Trip Hawkins, the creator of Electronic Arts.

Following his retirement enforced by the Oakland Raiders, passionate ex-NFL coach John Madden joins forces with a calm software developer from Harvard.
