Ann-Margret, the famous actress, was hospitalized earlier this month after a fall at her house.
The 84-year-old actress, known for her role in ‘Viva Las Vegas,’ recently broke her elbow, according to an interview with Parade magazine. This injury led her to cancel a planned autograph session.
The actress, who has red hair, shared that she broke her right elbow after a fall over the weekend. She says she’ll be extra careful to avoid another fall, but admits accidents can happen.
The Golden Age star shrugged off the seriousness of the accident as she continues to recover.
“It’s alright, I’ve stumbled many times before,” said Elvis Presley’s former partner. “It’s not intentional, but it happens! What can you do? I was raised to believe you just pick yourself up and begin again.”
She believed that anything is achievable. Even when she fails, she simply gets back up, brushes herself off, and tries again.
The injury has not stopped her workouts, however, as her trainer merely tweaked her routines.
I’m mostly focusing on leg exercises now,” she explained. “I have someone who comes to help me with different exercises on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasionally Fridays.
The trainer encourages her to push through, she explained. Without that motivation, she’d likely start making excuses – feeling sick or claiming other issues. But her trainer prevents her from giving up, she added.
Ann-Margret will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Chita Rivera Awards in New York City on May 16th.

I was so thrilled when I first heard that Ann-Margret did a screen test for 20th Century Fox back in 1961! It was amazing news – they signed her to a seven-year contract right away. I knew she was destined for stardom!
First was Pocketful of Miracles with Bette Davis.

Oh my gosh, seeing her in ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ back in ’63 with Dick Van Dyke, Bobby Rydell, and Janet Leigh? That was it! That’s when everyone – and I especially – knew she was going to be a huge star. It was absolutely magical, and she totally shone alongside those incredible actors. I’ve been a fan ever since!
