Hollywood descends on the World Cup final: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Tom Cruise, Dua Lipa and the Beckhams lend their A-list power to the ‘beautiful game’ at the most star-studded football event of all time

Many of Hollywood’s biggest stars attended the World Cup final held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.

Beyonce, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Tom Cruise, Dua Lipa, and the Beckhams were among the many celebrities who attended what is being called the most glamorous football match ever.

Jon Hamm, Adrien Brody, and Blake Lively were also at the event. Lively hasn’t been seen much lately, especially after missing her friend Taylor Swift’s recent wedding to Travis Kelce.

Spain won the 2026 FIFA World Cup, beating Argentina 1-0 in extra time. Argentina had been the reigning champions going into the match.

Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in extra time at MetLife Stadium, giving Spain their second ever men’s World Cup championship.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z appeared worried while watching from the audience. Beyoncé wore a white lace outfit—a fitted jumpsuit combined with a large, belted jacket and high heels.

Fresh off performing for three nights at Yankee Stadium to mark the 30th anniversary of his first album, ‘Reasonable Doubt,’ Jay-Z stepped out in an outfit inspired by the New York Yankees.

He completed his look with chunky gold chains.

Rihanna and her boyfriend, ASAP Rocky, went to the game where Rihanna entertained everyone by dancing when play stopped.

She paired a black t-shirt with cropped khaki pants and suede boots that reached her knees. A$AP Rocky wore a loose-fitting white t-shirt and jeans.

Rihanna was seen performing the Macarena dance during a break in the action at the final.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are often seen at New York Knicks basketball games, showing their affection for each other. But this past Sunday, the couple decided to switch things up and attend a football game instead.

Timothée, 30, and his girlfriend, 28, were visibly affectionate with each other, and he seemed much more focused on her than on the game they were watching.

He was seen staring into her eyes and planting a kiss on her lips after kick-off.

Top Gun star Tom Cruise, 64, was also in attendance, delivering a speech to fans prior to kick-off.

He walked confidently into the stadium with a bright, cheerful smile, excited to make his appearance at the closing ceremony.

Tom started by looking back at the incredible experience of the tournament. He explained that just thirty days ago, teams from all over the globe – traveling across oceans, borders, and cultural divides – came together to demonstrate why this sport truly unites the world.

He explained that football brings people together in a unique way – it’s a universal experience that transcends language, connecting individuals and fostering a sense of community and shared human connection, even among those who don’t know each other.

Tom noted that people everywhere have experienced incredible things and shared in joyful, hopeful, and unforgettable moments.

These stories aren’t just for a select few – they’re for all of us, across every country, for the players, the fans, the volunteers, and everyone who has ever hoped and dreamed while watching the game.

Okay, so I’m seeing everyone’s buzzing about Callum Turner and Dua Lipa! Newly married, they were spotted at a game recently, and honestly, you could feel the excitement – it was a really close match and they were totally into it, right there with the fans. It’s so sweet to see them enjoying some downtime together after the wedding!

After the game, the couple walked out of the stadium hand-in-hand, talking and smiling.

Okay, let’s talk style! I spotted Dua and Callum out and about, and I have to say, they both nailed that effortlessly cool vibe. Dua was rocking a white halter top with jeans – such a classic combo – and she accessorized perfectly with a baseball cap and some fun animal print boots. Callum kept it simple and sharp in a black tee and jeans. It’s all about finding those pieces that are comfortable and make you feel good, and they definitely did!

David and Victoria Beckham spent time talking with their longtime friend, Tom Cruise, whom they’ve known for nearly two decades.

Romeo attended the match with his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, and his brother, Cruz, was there with his partner, Jackie Apostel, making it a family outing.

Madonna sat next to younger boyfriend Akeem Morris before performing.

The iconic singer took the stage for the halftime show, fresh from releasing her new album, which critics are loving.

Robbie Williams watched the game with his wife, Ayda Field. She turned heads in a light blue blazer and fun, white sunglasses while cheering him on.

People noticed his dazzling outfit at the World Cup final closing ceremony reminded them of a famous TV character.

The singer performed alongside a group of famous artists, and Robbie Williams stood out on stage in a shimmering blue tracksuit covered in rhinestones. The outfit immediately caused a buzz online.

Someone pointed out that the outfit closely resembled the tracksuit famously worn by Paulie ‘Walnuts’ Gualtieri, a character on the HBO show The Sopranos, which ran from 1999 to 2007.

A photo of Robbie Williams was shared with the caption: ‘Robbie is currently channeling his inner Paulie Walnuts from The Sopranos.’

Paulie Walnuts worked as an enforcer for Tony Soprano and eventually rose to become a captain within the DiMeo crime family, largely driven by his desire to earn Tony’s respect.

The character, famous for his combed-back hair, gold jewelry, and constant witty remarks, was brought to life by Tony Sirico, who sadly passed away in 2022 after a several-year battle with dementia.

Colombian sensation Shakira was one of the big names who took to the stage for the halftime show.

Shakira sang her popular song ‘Dai Dai’ alongside Burna Boy while her former partner, Gerard Piqué (age 39), observed from the audience with their two children, Milan (13) and Sasha (11).

Shakira is a frequent performer at the World Cup, having appeared at four of the last six tournaments. She’s known for her memorable performances of hit songs like “Hips Don’t Lie” at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, “Waka Waka” in South Africa in 2010, and “La La La” in Brazil in 2014.

Canada-born crooner Justin Bieber performed a mellow acoustic track during his appearance.

Coldplay, Post Malone, Nicole Scherzinger, IShowSpeed, and Oscar-winning singer Jennifer Hudson all performed at the closing ceremony.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick attended the event, along with Jessica Alba and her new partner Danny Ramirez. They were seated near Javier Bardem.

The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband Malcolm McRae looked stylish at the game.

Sportsman Tom Brady took a selfie with son Benjamin, 16, in the stands.

Richard Gere arrived on the red carpet with his wife, Alejandra Silva, to watch the game. Adrien Brody was also spotted talking with Matt Damon and his wife.

Trevor Noah cheered on Spain while at the event, and actors Norman Reedus and Will Ferrell were also present, with Reedus posing for photos and Ferrell entertaining the crowd.

Pharrell Williams was spotted in the crowd.

Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, seemed much more cheerful than he did while watching England’s loss to Argentina – he’d been visibly upset during the game.

New mom Ellie Goulding stepped out in a chic black ensemble with her partner, Beau Minniear.

Ed Sheeran looked relaxed and informal as he left the stadium after the game, carrying a beer.

Fans who have tickets to Sunday’s match between Spain and Argentina at the 80,000-seat stadium in New Jersey are being asked to arrive up to four hours early. The stadium is located just outside of Manhattan, so organizers are encouraging fans to allow plenty of time for travel and entry.

Spectators waited more than four hours just to get their tickets checked and finally enter the stadium for the big game.

Because President Donald Trump was present, everyone entering the venue had to go through security checks similar to those at airports.

The problems got worse because there were also issues with FIFA’s ticket scanners. Even people who had waited a long time in line weren’t able to get in quickly due to these glitches.
