Holly’s Snub! No ITV Show After 21 Years?!

On Sunday evening, Holly Willoughby chose not to attend the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards as it marked the first time in 21 years that she didn’t have an ITV program to host.

At London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, the usual attendee, aged 44, was noticeably absent from the ceremony.

From 2009 through 2023, Holly co-hosted This Morning with Phillip Schofield. Additionally, she served as the host for Dancing on Ice from 2006 until its cancellation in March.

So far, there’s no word from the public about her taking up a new project with that channel yet.

I myself was absolutely thrilled that my beloved hubby, Dan Baldwin, graced the BAFTA Television Awards with his presence, even though he managed to avoid the cameras’ glare.

In 2014, he established Hungry Bear Media, a company that has since grown to be one of the United Kingdom’s top-tier production houses. It produces shows like Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, which earned a nomination during an awards ceremony.

In the previous month, Holly publicly expressed a heartfelt homage towards Dancing On Ice, acknowledging everyone involved over the last 19 years. Interestingly enough, she didn’t specifically credit Phil, her longtime co-host during those 13 years.

Among many photos from her stint as host of the ITV show, Holly wrote: “A heartfelt thanks to @itv, the amazing team, crew, celebrities, and everyone else who contributed to our Dancing on Ice family for the past 19 years.

Each year, as January seemed the most gloomy, the arrival of Dancing on Ice was like a radiant, sparkling flash, bringing warmth, happiness, and a touch of heartfelt emotion…

It’s been a tremendous honor for me to collaborate with the national icons, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, on the ice. Witnessing their incredible skating performances up close has been nothing short of enchanting… truly magical!

‘I should also extend a heartfelt appreciation to Arnica, Deep Heat, Spanx, and fake tan, often overlooked but crucial allies on the ice rink! I will dearly miss this experience, yet feel incredibly fortunate to have enjoyed it for as long as we did. Lastly, my deepest gratitude goes out to you for tuning in, you’re simply the best audience anyone could ask for! …

In the collection of photographs that Holly shared, you could see her fellow actor Stephen Mulhern, alongside judges Torvill and Dean, Oti Mabuse, and Ashley Banjo. However, there were no snapshots featuring Philip, who is 62 years old.

The duo initially hosted the program’s inaugural season in 2006, continuing until 2012, when Holly decided to take a brief hiatus and was temporarily substituted by Christine Lampard.

2014 saw a pause in the continuation of the series, but Holly came back in 2018, reuniting with Philip, as the series made its comeback.

In 2023, Philip parted ways with ITV after it was disclosed that he had an inappropriate relationship with a significantly younger male coworker, which was imprudent but not illegal. Subsequently, Stephen took over Philip’s position.

The relationship between the past hosts of This Morning deteriorated significantly following an affair and the trial of Philip’s brother for sexual misconduct. Their deep-seated animosity became more apparent after Phil returned to TV in Channel 5’s series Cast Away, where he referred to Holly as one of the three problematic figures in show business.

For a long time, Holly was widely recognized as ITV’s cherished Golden Lady, establishing herself as the beloved hostess of their most popular programs such as This Morning and Dancing on Ice.

Instead, it seems that Holly has shifted focus in her TV profession since she no longer has an ITV show due to the cancellation of Dancing On Ice.

Recently, she thwarted ITV’s anticipation of having her as their weekend headliner, by declining an enticing offer to host the game show “You Bet!” instead.

As a devoted follower, I find myself reporting that according to my sources within ITV, she has been occupied with various engagements, following the fact that I, personally, observed her stepping into the spotlight for the first time as the host of Celebrity Bear Hunt, a role outside of ITV.

For the first time in over two decades, Holly doesn’t have an ITV show on her schedule, marking a change from her long-standing role as the channel’s favorite television personality.

For years, I’ve been gracing the screens of ITV and ITV2, lending my presence to a variety of beloved programs such as Surprise Surprise, Celebrity Juice, The Games, The Xtra Factor, and I’m A Celebrity.
