Roxanne Mckee has revealed she is pregnant with her first child!
The actress who portrayed Louise Summers on Hollyoaks from 2005 to 2008, now aged 45, shared the announcement of her pregnancy on her Instagram account yesterday, showing off her growing belly.
The actress shared photos with her new beau for the first time, tagging them as “Our Collaboration” in affectionate images.
Friends from the celebrity circle filled up her comment section with congratulatory messages. Among them, Ashley James wrote: “Congratulations dear heart ❤️❤️❤️
Hollyoaks star Anthony Quinny wrote: ‘Amazing news! Congratulations! ❤️’
Hayley Soraya added: ‘Huge congratulations lovely! ❤️’
In 2008, Roxanne’s character met a tragic end when she was choked to death by her fiancé Warren Fox (played by Jamie Lomas), on the very day they were supposed to get married.
The event transpired following the revelation that he was responsible for killing his former spouse, Sean Kennedy (Matthew Jay Lewis).
Her body was later placed in a hotel room and set alight to cover his tracks.
At the time of her departure, Roxanne expressed that she had greatly enjoyed her time on Hollyoaks and would deeply miss everyone at Lime Pictures.
During my time here, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and created numerous cherished memories – not only with the people I’ve collaborated with, but also with the vibrant city of Liverpool itself, which now feels like a second home to me.
On the day I depart, I may find myself shedding a few emotional tears, but my excitement for what lies ahead is overwhelming.
Following her departure from Hollyoaks, Roxanne took on various roles. She portrayed Lou Foster in BBC Three’s Lip Service, Doreah in the highly successful HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, and Lady Claire Riesen in Syfy’s post-apocalyptic supernatural drama Dominion.
In addition, she has been featured in the horror sequel Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, the action-thriller Vendetta, and the popular fantasy film The Legend of Hercules.
Lately, Roxanne has been featured in the thriller titled “The Admirer” and is set to appear as Xana in the grisly retelling of “Bambi: The Reckoning” in 2025.
On her social media she often shares her passion for rock climbing and fitness.
Louise’s possible survival could be an intriguing turn of events in the upcoming episodes of Hollyoaks, as Roxanne previously hinted at her wish to reappear.
On the screen, it may seem as if she has passed away, but given certain circumstances and my desire to return for a future episode, there’s a possibility I could reappear. I also shot an additional scene to confirm that my character is indeed alive.
In the series, scenes appear where it seems I am being killed, yet there’s another scene not immediately revealed to viewers. This hidden flashback could potentially be shown later on, should I decide to reappear in an upcoming episode.
I’m considering returning to complete Louise’s story, however, right now I may be occupied with other tasks.
