Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, 50, looks like he’s barely aged a day after three decades of drama on Channel 4 soap as he attends milestone 30th anniversary celebration

It felt like time stood still on Monday evening when Nick Pickard went to the Hollyoaks 30th anniversary party in Liverpool.

Since its debut on Channel 4 in 1995, the long-running teen drama has remarkably lasted three decades, despite storylines involving shocking betrayals, extremist views, dangerous criminals, switched babies, and attempts to change people’s sexual orientation.

Despite everything, the actor who has been on the show the longest looked as youthful as ever while celebrating the special occasion at St. George’s Hall.

Nick Pickard, the actor who plays unlucky Tony Hutchinson, has been a regular on the soap opera Hollyoaks since it began on October 23, 1995. He’s been a part of the show, set in the fictional village, from the very first episode.

A young Pickard joined Hollyoaks creator Phil Redmond and many of the show’s actors, including his brother John, at a celebration in Liverpool recognizing the show’s success.

He still looked good, and his suit was just as sharp – a powder blue two-piece he’d previously worn to the Inside Soap Awards on September 29th.

Shortly after arriving, Pickard walked the red carpet with his girlfriend of many years, Sarah Corrin, who he lives with in Liverpool.

The actor, famous for playing Tony, gained even more fans in 2023 when he appeared on the twenty-third season of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in Australia.

Corrin later shared that she received a lot of messages from fans after Pickard unexpectedly became popular with viewers as a romantic figure on the show.

She recently shared with the Daily Mail that she’s been receiving messages from people saying Nick is incredibly attractive. While she’s always thought he was gorgeous, she’s surprised – and not surprised – to see him gaining so many new fans.

Okay, so this girl I follow posted a poll on her Instagram story, and it was about Nick. The option was basically saying people thought he was surprisingly attractive, and honestly, everyone voted for it! It was a landslide.

‘I commented that I agreed but said “less of the weird please.”

She then sent me a private message, noticing I’d shown support for him on Instagram, and simply asked, “Are you a fan?”

She added: ‘It’s nice people get to see the Nick part of him and not just Tony. But you haven’t seen all of him yet. I’ve wanted him to do it for years.

‘He’s very competitive and a good team player so that’s why I’ve always said, out of all the things he could do, I’m A Celebrity would be a good one for him.

‘I’m really surprised I haven’t seen him have a hunger tantrum.

‘He is the most positive upbeat person you’ll ever meet but don’t mess with him and his food.

‘When people are going off for the Trials he’s like ‘Don’t worry if you don’t get all the stars’ but I know on the inside he’s like inside, “You have to get all the stars.”‘

Ashley Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren Osborne on Hollyoaks, shared that Pickard regularly organizes charity football games and goes above and beyond for his colleagues, even handling things like washing the team kit and providing food.

He explained to The Sun that Nick is instrumental in working with charities. Over the years, they’ve raised millions of pounds thanks to Nick’s dedication – not just in organizing events, but going above and beyond to make them happen.

He handles everything – the equipment, transportation, and accommodations – all on his own initiative, which is truly admirable.
