Hollyoaks star ‘marries businessman fiancé’ she met on a plane – as her co-star watches the countryside nuptials

Hollyoaks star Caroline Koziol has reportedly tied the knot with her fiancé Phil Thornett.

On a plane ride, the actress, known for her role as Katja on Channel 4’s soap opera, encountered businessman Phil and developed feelings for him, leading to a romantic relationship.

Six years following their public debut as a couple, they’ve officially tied the knot and are now husband and wife, according to The Sun.

The rural wedding was attended by the couple’s relatives and acquaintances, among whom was Rory Douglas Speed, a fellow actor from the show Hollyoaks where he portrayed Joel Dexter.

During Caroline’s brief run on Hollyoaks, I found myself growing incredibly fond of Rory. In fact, I’ve often joked that he feels more like a long-lost brother to me – a sibling hailing from another part of the world!

Though she’s been discreet about her relationship with actor-writer Phil, she’s openly appreciated his kindness in an interview with Shoutout LA in the past.

Speaking about him as my “closest confidant,” she expressed, “No one has ever believed in me quite like he did. I consider myself incredibly fortunate for having crossed paths with him.

He showed an extraordinary degree of kindness to others and me; I suppose that true kindness involves loving people more than they may deserve.”

In her haste, she climbed into the vehicle intending to escape, but unfortunately, she inadvertently pushed over Maxine Minniver, causing her to lose consciousness.

Before her stint on Hollyoaks, Caroline had started her acting journey in the theatre. She also earned a nomination for the Best Actress accolade at the 2020 Los Angeles Film Festival for her performance in the short movie titled Dream Catcher.

Caroline’s first major role was as Mariana in Line of Duty back in 2019. 

She’s since gone on to become a Bollywood star, appearing in over 20 Bollywood films.
