Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas welcomes a baby girl with fiancée Jess Bell and reveals her adorable name – after sharing the tot was a ‘surprise’ for the couple

Jamie Lomas has announced his fiancée Jess Bell has given birth to a baby girl.
In a heartfelt Valentine’s Day message posted in February, the actor from Hollyoaks, aged 49, shared for the first time that his dental professional partner, who is 35 years old, is expecting their initial child together.
In their recent interview and photo session, they revealed that their new addition, baby girl Bella Neveah, was born on July 29th.
Little Bella’s appearance took the couple by surprise since they hadn’t anticipated having a child together, yet they are beyond happy that she has joined their family.
Jamie has a 13-year-old daughter named Polly with his wife, Kym Marsh, and an 18-year-old son named Billy from a past relationship.
In an interview with OK! magazine for a series of striking photos, Jamie, who is preparing to depart from his role as Warren Fox on Channel 4 soap, shared: ‘Jess was an unexpected delight. Jess has consistently mentioned that she doesn’t want kids, and I already have two.’
I’ve consistently expressed that if Jessica were to reconsider and desire a child, I wouldn’t stand in her way. And then, quite unexpectedly, Bella came into the picture.
In the meantime, Jess expressed her gratitude for the surprise, mentioning that she wouldn’t have opted for it herself. However, she’s overjoyed and smitten beyond words. Bella is simply the greatest blessing that has come her way. It feels as if she was destined to be.
In an Instagram post, the couple revealed their initial plan for a peaceful, serene home birth, complete with a birthing pool set up in the kitchen. However, due to labor lasting over two days, unforeseen changes to the plans were necessary.
They first planned to give birth at home, but midwives recommended that they transfer to a hospital instead.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, allow me to share an endearing tale: I mentioned that Jamie was the fortunate soul who had the privilege of being Bella’s first beholder. To add a touch of emotion, he himself expressed that upon laying his gaze upon his precious daughter for the very first time, he found himself weeping like an infant – a heartwarming display of pure, unadulterated joy.
During their interview, they shared that Jamie’s eldest daughter originally intended to attend the delivery, but she was unable to do so when Jess ended up being transferred to the hospital.
The pair additionally commended Polly for her active involvement with her young sister, with Jamie expressing that such a sight really stirs up deep emotions within him, as he witnesses the bond between the sisters.
The announcement about Jamie’s newborn child received many heartfelt congratulations from both his admirers and colleagues on the show “Hollyoaks”.
Richard Blackwood, the actor known for portraying on-screen rival Felix Westwood, expressed: “Hey there! Kudos to you both! Wonderful! You’ve certainly changed things up a bit!”
“Nikki Sanderson, portraying Maxine Minniver, expressed: ‘Fantastic! Heartfelt congratulations ❤️ Bella cuddles are simply the best.'”
And Anthony Quinlan, who played Gilly Roach, added: ‘Awwww ��❤️ she’s the cutest! Love to you all ❤️.’
Initially, Jamie announced their pregnancy on Instagram in February through a post, featuring him standing next to his fiancee with a sonogram picture of their unborn daughter.
He wrote the ‘Since today is Valentine’s Day, a day for love, I wanted to tell everyone about the fantastic news that my partner, Dr. Jess Bell, and I are going to have a lovely little baby girl.’
‘I hope you all have a great day and sending love to you all.’
Multiple family members, acquaintances, and fellow actors posted their well wishes in the comment section. Jamie’s sister, Charley Webb, wrote: “Congratulations, Auntie once more!”
Jessica Fox added: ‘Such beautiful news! Congratulations to you both!’
In July last year, Jamie revealed that he was engaged to Jess after two years together.
The actor told OK! Magazine: ‘I had been planning it for a while and I wanted it to be perfect.’
He explained: ‘We’d been in Lake Como a few weeks earlier but we both adore Mexico and I thought, ‘Where better than in our favourite restaurant in our favourite resort in our favourite country?’
“In no time at all, a ring appeared before me, and the crowd erupted in applause and cheers. It was truly extraordinary – an overwhelmingly beautiful and deeply emotional moment,” I shared, being 34 years old.
Jess added: ‘I wasn’t expecting it at all. It was a total shock. Before I knew it there was this ring there and everyone was clapping and cheering. It was amazing; so wonderful and so very emotional.’
Back in August 2021, it became known that they began dating, having been introduced by common acquaintances.
In May 2022, they made their relationship official by attending the Pride of Manchester awards together on the red carpet.
