As a seasoned observer of the tumultuous world of entertainment, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy for Daisy Wood-Davis. Her life seems to be a whirlwind of triumphs and setbacks, much like a Hollywood blockbuster unfolding before our very eyes. The news of her latest joy – the arrival of a new baby – is tempered by the bitter pill of the cancellation of Bonnie & Clyde, a project she seemed to relish.

Hollyoaks star Daisy Wood-Davis has given birth to her second son with her husband Luke Jerdy.

On Wednesday, the actress (who is 34 years old) posted a heartwarming video from the delivery room on her Instagram account and discussed the challenging week she had experienced, which she described as a “nightmare.

Although she had a miraculous water birth, this mother of two shared that her newborn boy, who is merely nine days old, has been quite unwell and has undergone two surgeries so far. One of these operations took place when he was only four days old.

Following a challenging initial week, Daisy disclosed that this experience served as the inspiration for naming him – introducing Ari Jax instead.

She shared that Ari, pronounced as ‘Ah-Ree’, signifies both ‘lion’ and ‘sun-like’. Indeed, he embodies these traits and is undeniably the bravest and toughest little cub around.

“Now that we’ve returned home and the traumatic events of the past week are over… We can’t help but feel incredibly proud to announce that our second son, Ari Jax, was born on the 8th of December, right beside our Christmas tree at home.

‘Daddy very cleverly lined up ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay to welcome him into the world.’

Describing the experience, she expressed: “The water birth was an extraordinary, magical event that left me in awe. Though I’ve had limited opportunity to reflect on it, I am immensely proud of both myself and my partner, Ari, for our outstanding teamwork during the process.

I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the remarkable birth team at Mama Sanctuary (@mama_sanctuary) and Preparing Parents. You made me feel secure and understood during the process – truly exceptional ladies you are!

In discussing Ari’s health, she didn’t provide detailed information but shared that Ari has been very unwell and has already undergone two operations during his nine-day life, with the initial one taking place when he was just four days old.

We’ve been through a harrowing ordeal, but we’re incredibly thankful he’ll recover and we’ll be celebrating Christmas at home.

Daisy exclaimed, “We’re incredibly proud of him! Mommy, Dad, and his adoring older brother Asa all have an endless supply of love for you. It’s hard to imagine loving you even more, but we know we will!

Let’s embark on this new phase of parenthood again, honoring our precious son, Ari Jax, in a fitting manner. Our love for him is boundless. Ari Jax, we adore you wholeheartedly.

Back in 2018, Daisy, known for her role as Kim Butterfield, and Luke, famous for his portrayal of Jesse Donovan, crossed paths while working on a Channel 4 production. Fast forward to October 2021, they became proud parents for the first time, welcoming their son Asa into their lives.

They shared the news about their upcoming second baby, which they announced in June, by posting an ultrasound picture and writing: “Stay tuned for a big surprise at the end.

Today is our 8th year as a couple, and it’s been 2 years since we exchanged vows (we got married on our anniversary). It’s truly amazing to reflect on this incredible voyage… Honestly, I can’t help but wonder how I managed to find such good fortune.

She also expressed her gratitude: “We’d like to extend our appreciation to everyone who attended our wedding, especially our friends and family. You made the southern Spanish adventure unforgettable with your presence, turning it into the biggest party we could ever ask for!” A new chapter unfolds now.

In the early part of this year, I was deeply disheartened when my lead role in the musical Bonnie & Clyde, alongside Catherine Tyldesley, was unexpectedly cut. Frankly speaking, I felt that our efforts didn’t warrant such an outcome.

The actress from Hollyoaks was the main character, however, the series was canceled due to ‘unsatisfactory ticket sales’. She expressed her sadness about this on Instagram.

The production of Bonnie & Clyde was removed from theaters as it was determined that the performance was no longer profitable.

Actress Catherine and her co-star were simultaneously playing the lead roles of gangster Blanche Barrow during their UK tour, both being well-known soap stars aged 40.

The scheduled stage performance for the UK tour from April to October was planning to appear at the Southend’s Cliffs Pavilion.

Four hours prior to the performance, I received the disheartening news that it was called off, which left fans feeling dejected and let down.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she penned: ‘Absolutely devastated.

‘This industry pulls some horrendous punches. I have had the time of my life the last few weeks.

‘Sending love to the whole Bonnie & Clyde team. We did not deserve this.’
