Holly Willoughby’s Daring Dress Sparks Outrage and Support During Dancing On Ice!

Supporters swiftly came to Holly Willoughby’s defense, praising her bold decision to wear a deeply-cut hot pink dress at the Dancing on Ice event on Sunday.

I, a devoted admirer, joined Stephen Mulhern, age 43, in an extraordinary transformation during Movie Week on the ice. Together, we brought Glinda and Elphaba from “Wicked” to life. We spared no effort!

Holly was stunning in a shimmering hot-pink ball gown featuring a deep neckline, subtly revealing a peek of her elegant décolletage, and an extravagant skirt constructed from multiple layers of tulle.

Meanwhile, while certain viewers criticized Holly’s attire, deeming it inappropriate for a “family program”, other viewers quickly came to her defense.

On Twitter, they wrote: ‘Holly radiates beauty as Glinda’; ‘Though I haven’t seen Dancing on Ice, Stephen and Holly as Alpha a and Glinda are truly memorable’.

‘Love that Holly and Stephen are dressed as Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked, my fav musical’;

‘Ok.. Holly Willoughby as Glinda is incredible, and simply perfection’.

On Instagram, supporters expressed their approval by saying: “Holly, you two looked fantastic, like a stunning princess.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must say, you’re truly radiant as Glinda! Your elegance is undeniable and your style complements you beautifully.

After certain viewers expressed their disagreement with Holly’s outfit, considering it too extravagant for a family program, the follow-up compliments were posted.

One person wrote: “She’s quite ostentatious, always seen in such dresses.” The other proposed: “It seems like she’s trying to outshine Amanda Holden in her style.

As Holly channeled her inner Glinda, Stephen Mulhern found himself in fits of laughter when Ashley Banjo, dressed head-to-toe in green face paint, attempted to embody Elphaba – a character played by Cynthia Erivo in the popular movie, not quite pulling it off convincingly.

He donned a sleek black velvet tuxedo with a black undershirt and a glittering tie to match, accessorized by his iconic pointy witch’s hat, broomstick, and cape.

During their opening, the pair playfully mentioned that no skate-off was planned for this week, a decision which had sparked some criticism from fans following the recent rule change.

Previously, based on public voting, the two couples with the fewest votes would face off in a skate-off, and it was up to the judges to decide which pair would have to bid farewell to the competition. As an overly enthusiastic fan, I eagerly awaited these nail-biting confrontations!

As a devoted fan, I was made aware by Holly and Stephen themselves that there wouldn’t be a skate-off this time around. Instead, the couple receiving the fewest votes would sadly have to leave the competition immediately.

Some critics labeled it as ‘unjust’, arguing that certain pairs should be given an additional opportunity to showcase their abilities through another performance.

The post on X stated: ‘It seems just that the other skating pair might deserve an additional week to perform, as it doesn’t seem quite right for them to have been eliminated so swiftly in their initial skating week.’

Why wouldn’t there be a skate-off? Could it be because more people cast their votes either last week or this week? That might lead to an unbalanced distribution of votes, potentially leaving someone at a disadvantage.

‘I still don’t get why there’s no Skate off till Week 5.’

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that there won’t be another skate-off as we saw last week, which was a massive hit on social platforms! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Holly then hit back at the backlash, saying: ‘All I have to say is that’s why you’ve got to vote!’

Following the unfortunate necessity for Josh Jones and his dance partner Tippy Packard to withdraw from the competition, mere hours before the live broadcast was set to air.

During rehearsals, the comedian suffered an injury when he twisted his ankle. He expressed his deep disappointment about having to miss the competition to Holly and Stephen.

Initially, it was announced via Dancing On Ice’s social media platforms that Josh Jones suffered an injury during practice sessions, forcing him to step away from Dancing On Ice.

1) ‘The collaboration between Josh and Tippy is deeply regretted. We’ll do our best to aid Josh, sending him our warmest wishes for a successful recovery.’

Josh left the competition following a close call during last week’s live episode, where Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey was the initial celebrity eliminated.

It became known in October that Josh would participate in Dancing On Ice, and later, on Gaydio, he openly acknowledged that he had absolutely no prior skating skills.

He mentioned that he tried it only once, many years back, during a date. However, his performance wasn’t impressive as he clung to the railings the whole time. They are no longer together now.

‘I don’t dance well, despite being a man who enjoys the LGBTQ+ community. My sense of rhythm is off, and it’s challenging for me to keep time with music, so this dancing experience should be interesting.’

Sarah Storey, too, penned a heartfelt note for Josh, as they both had to pull out of Dancing on Ice at the training phase because of injuries.

She wrote: ‘So so sorry to read this, sending you lots of love @joshyjones92.’

During Sunday night’s results program, Ferne McCann was the second celebrity to say goodbye to Dancing on Ice.

The reality TV personality, aged 34, choked up and expressed her deep disappointment, stating that she felt “totally devastated” about departing from the contest.

She expressed her disappointment: ‘I’m truly disappointed, really disappointed. However, that’s just the way things are. We were having such a great time together, and I’m quite upset about it. Brendyn, your contributions have been remarkable, thank you very much. It was simply fantastic.’
