Holly Willoughby looks downcast as she steps out after being criticised for showing off £1,495 private full body scan she got for free

Holly Willoughby looked downcast as she stepped out to run errands in London on Tuesday.

The TV presenter was seen in public for the first time since facing criticism for publicly revealing she’d received £1,495 worth of free private healthcare.

Holly, 44, dressed casually for the day in a black jacket, leggings, and boots.

The former This Morning host added to her look with a light grey jumper and dark grey T-shirt.

Sporting a stylish pair of sunglasses, Holly completed her outfit with a black cap.

I was so relieved to hear that my favorite star recently had a thorough health check – a multi-organ MRI. It’s amazing how proactive they are about their well-being, getting screened for things like cancer and a whole range of other potential health issues. It just shows they really prioritize taking care of themselves!

Holly’s social media post received some criticism, as many followers noted the expensive treatment she highlighted wouldn’t be affordable for most people.

‘If only we were all so lucky,’ one fan wrote, according to The Sun.

Holly has since turned off comments on the post which was a paid ad.

Holly recently shared that Ezra Inc. generously offered her a comprehensive MRI scan to screen for early signs of cancer and over 500 other potential health issues.

Catching health issues early can be life-saving, and I’m thrilled this service is now offered in London. Knowing my family and I have access to this gives me real peace of mind, and it’s truly valuable.

‘As a company their hope is the more who do this the more available it is for everyone…#gifted’.

As a huge fan of early detection and preventative health, I’m thrilled to see Ezra bring its incredible screening service to the UK! They’ve been doing amazing work in the US, and this expansion means so many more people here can benefit from their cutting-edge technology.

Holly joins celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson, and Cindy Crawford in getting a comprehensive health screening.

I was really surprised to see the backlash Kim Kardashian received after sharing her Prenuvo scan on Instagram. She genuinely seemed thrilled with the technology, even calling it ‘life saving,’ and I think it’s great she’s raising awareness about proactive health screenings. It just feels unfair that she’s being criticized for taking charge of her own well-being.

In the comments of Kim’s post, users said that these scans are inaccessible to most people.

‘Kim, this is for wealthy people. People can’t afford food right now,’ one user said.

Someone else pointed out that most people can’t even afford insurance to cover a basic checkup.

Someone joked on Twitter: ‘I always get my health advice from Kim Kardashian! I even have a lobotomy scheduled for next week.’

Ezra uses artificial intelligence to perform scans that take about an hour and check 13 different organs. You can also add on a scan of your lungs and a screening for heart disease.

With cancer diagnoses increasing, particularly in younger adults, the company claims its products offer the strongest protection against the illness.

With early detection, treatment can start earlier and prognosis improves dramatically.

AI technology has dramatically sped up scans, reducing the time needed to just one hour, and now helps doctors focus on the most important results with a helpful scoring system.

A comprehensive scan of 13 organs currently costs £2,395. You can add scans of the lungs and heart for an additional £300.

As the technology improves, scan times could drop to just fifteen minutes, potentially bringing the cost of a complete health check-up below £400.

Generally, doctors suggest full-body scans only for people at higher risk of cancer, like those with a family history or genetic predisposition. They don’t typically recommend them for everyone.

Prenuvo is a health company that’s part of a growing trend: offering full-body MRIs for $2,500. They claim these scans can find cancers and other long-term illnesses years before a person feels sick.

It featured in a sponsored post on Kim’s Instagram page, where she described it as ‘lifesaving’.

Dr. Daniel Durand, the chief medical officer at Prenuvo and a radiologist, explained to the Associated Press that they aim to help people take a more active role in managing their health.

She shared on Instagram that the Prenuvo full-body scan can find cancers and conditions like aneurysms very early on, even before someone feels sick. She mentioned it helped save the life of a friend and wanted to spread the word.

Experts warn that this technology isn’t beneficial for generally healthy people who aren’t experiencing any symptoms.
