Holly Willoughby is facing a dispute over plans for her £8 million house, even though she’s already been given permission to build a gym and cinema. She’s now launched a legal appeal to resolve the issue.
Phillip Schofield, age 44, and his husband, TV producer Daniel Baldwin, 51, recently purchased a six-bedroom house. This move came after they left their previous £3 million Edwardian home in London.
The couple now plans to expand their historic home by building a connecting addition between the main house and a separate building on their property.
The couple purchased their new house in the summer of 2024 and have since made several improvements, including adding extra security features.
Plans have also been approved to add a gym, a cinema, and a ground-floor connection to the building.
However, their most recent proposal was described as too large and unsuitable, leading the couple to file an appeal.

Holly and Dan have appealed the decision, arguing that the extension would make the best use of the property.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Holly for comment.
In July 2024, the couple purchased the mansion outright, without a loan, after relocating from the capital with her family to escape a terrifying kidnapping and murder scheme.
Two months after Gavin Plumb was imprisoned for attempting to kidnap, rape, and murder someone, the victims moved away from the city.
After 14 years hosting This Morning, Holly Willoughby left the show following a frightening kidnapping threat and decided to take a break from public life.
After Plumb was accused of the crime, she became afraid to leave her home, which kept her off the air for several months.
Land Registry documents mention no charge from lenders.
A source told The Sun that this change represents a “fresh start” and a chance to move past a difficult period.

Following her stalker Plumb’s sentencing, she shared a message of thanks, acknowledging the police and her lawyers for successfully prosecuting him.
Women deserve to feel safe in their everyday lives and within their own homes. It’s unacceptable to feel unsafe in either of those places.
I’m deeply thankful to the undercover officer who recognized the danger, and to the Metropolitan and Essex police for acting so quickly. My gratitude also goes to the Crown Prosecution Service, Judge Murray, Alison Morgan KC, the jury, and everyone else involved in this case for making sure justice was served and protecting other women from this defendant.
I also want to recognize the courage of his earlier victims for coming forward. Their willingness to speak out was crucial to securing this conviction, and without it, this outcome might not have happened.
Phillip Schofield, who used to present This Morning with her, left the show after revealing he had an affair with a coworker and had been dishonest with a colleague when asked about rumors.
When Holly returned to the ITV show without him, she faced criticism for a statement she made to the public, in which she asked viewers if they were doing alright after the news was revealed.
Then, things got even worse when Plumb was arrested, accused of planning to kidnap and kill her, which left her deeply frightened.
After careful consideration, she’s decided to return to hosting Dancing On Ice with Stephen Mulhern, starting in early 2025.
Holly previously renovated her West London home, which planners gave her the go-ahead to extend.
But her neighbours were less than pleased with her various planning applications over the years.
I’ve been following Holly’s story for a while now, and it’s been quite a journey! She bought her lovely house in London back in 2011, and honestly, trying to renovate it turned into a real headache. She kept running into disagreements with her neighbors – apparently, they got pretty heated and caused a lot of stress for her. It’s a shame, especially since her home is in such a beautiful, protected neighborhood.
Locals complained about noise disruption, the impact on local wildlife and a loss of privacy.
Let me tell you, dealing with negativity can be tough, and I was really taken aback when someone sent me an anonymous letter back in 2013. It basically accused me of being disruptive and causing a disturbance the night before, claiming I’d been out of control. It was a really unpleasant experience, honestly – getting something like that in the mail, completely out of the blue.
