Holly Willoughby is ‘secretly plotting a spectacular TV comeback’ with her producer husband Dan Baldwin after being left without a TV show for the first time in 21 years as she ditches daytime for primetime

After leaving This Morning, Holly Willoughby is reportedly planning a return to television with the help of her husband, Dan Baldwin, who is a TV producer. This would mark her first time without a regular TV show in over twenty years.

For years, the 44-year-old presenter was one of ITV’s most popular stars, becoming a fan favourite hosting hit shows like This Morning and Dancing On Ice.

After departing from her popular daytime show in 2023, and with the end of both Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Bear Hunt on Netflix, she found herself without a hosting job for the first time in over two decades.

Holly Willoughby left her role on This Morning after a frightening kidnapping and murder plot orchestrated by an obsessed security guard named Gavin Plumb led her to step away from public life.

Sources say Holly is planning a return to television, working with TV producer Dan Baldwin on the project.

Dan, the owner of Hungry Bear Media – the company that created popular shows like Gladiators – first met Holly while they were working together in 2004.

The couple have three children together – Harry, 16, Belle, 14 and Chester, 10. 

People close to the couple revealed that their marriage faced strain as Dan’s career thrived while Holly took time off.

According to The Sun, Holly Willoughby is planning a return to television during prime time, shifting away from the daytime shows where she was successful for 14 years.

According to a source, she and Dan both believe she’s capable of hosting a prime-time show on her own, and they’re working to make her the UK’s leading female presenter once again. They make a very powerful team.

I’m hearing whispers that something exciting is brewing for Holly! It’s still very early days, but people are starting to reach out to her contacts in television, film, and music – all the creative types – to see if they’d be interested in joining a potential new primetime show she’d be leading. She reportedly aspires to become a popular chat show host, similar to Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton, and sees herself fitting that role.

The mother of three has reportedly contacted friends Emma Bunton, Christine Lampard, and Fearne Cotton privately, hoping they’ll support her return to working on her own and offer guidance.

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Holly for comment.

Holly Willoughby co-hosted a special episode of the ITV game show *You Bet!* with Stephen Mulhern last year. However, she decided not to continue with the show when it was commissioned for a full series.

Someone familiar with the show told us that ‘You Bet’ was so well-received by audiences, with many hoping for more, that ITV decided to commission a whole series.

‘Holly and Stephen are a great double act and they were both brilliant so they were asked back.

‘But Holly politely declined, she has other commitments and couldn’t make it work.

Now that her schedule on This Morning is more open, she’s free to explore a wider range of opportunities, including projects around the world.

I was so thrilled to see her land ‘Celebrity Bear Hunt’! It was her first project with Netflix, and honestly, she absolutely shone. Everyone involved seemed to love working with her, so I’m really hoping this is just the beginning and we’ll see her in many more Netflix shows to come.

An ITV representative said that Holly wasn’t able to commit to hosting the new series of *You Bet!*, but they hope she’ll be able to appear as a guest on one of the episodes.

Holly also runs her own wellness and lifestyle brand, called Wylde Moon.

Her company is valued at around £10 million, and she’s collaborated with well-known brands like Marks & Spencer, Diet Coke, and Oral B.
