Holly Ramsay’s bridesmaids are mocked for having wedding bouquets that resemble spring onions in ‘tribute’ to her celebrity chef father

Okay, so I’ve been following Holly’s wedding intensely, and honestly? People are being so mean about her bridesmaids’ flowers! They’re saying they look like spring onions! Can you believe it? But I think it’s actually brilliant! Everyone’s joking it’s a little nod to her dad being a chef, and I’m totally here for it. It’s quirky, it’s cute, and it’s so Holly. I think it’s a really sweet and funny detail, and honestly, I’m obsessed with it!

Twenty-five-year-old bride married Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 31, on Saturday at Bath Abbey, followed by a grand reception at Kin House.

Holly’s bridesmaids were her sisters, Megan, 27, and Tilly, 24, along with her sister-in-law, Bethany, 32. They arrived with beautiful bouquets of calla lilies.

Some people noticed the flowers closely resembled onions and immediately associated them with the famous chef.

The Instagram account @betchesuk made a humorous observation about Gordon Ramsay’s daughter’s wedding, pointing out that having bridesmaids carry spring onions perfectly fits his personality and style.

Gordon Ramsay began his culinary journey with formal training from renowned chefs. He eventually opened his own restaurants, the most famous being Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which has earned the highest culinary honor of three Michelin stars.

As a huge fan, I’m always amazed by how much Gordon Ramsay has going on! He’s now running between 80 and 90 restaurants worldwide – everything from really fancy, high-end places to relaxed pubs and incredible Asian-inspired restaurants. It’s incredible to see the range he covers!

The Instagram account playfully highlighted how someone referenced Gordon Ramsay’s style, joking that the wedding party carried in the breakfast ingredients – a truly iconic moment!

Not everyone found the joke amusing, and several people pointed out in the comments that the picture actually showed calla lilies, not spring onions.

The account responded by jokingly correcting people, tweeting: “I don’t know why everyone is calling them ‘lilies’ – they’re obviously spring onions!”

Those who did appreciate the joked, said: ‘Looks more like celery to me’ and ‘Spring onions!?’

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the situation, and it’s nice to see a little humor break through. This playful comment arrives after weeks of tension building between the Ramsay and Peaty families – it’s been a tough time for everyone involved, so a bit of levity is definitely welcome!

According to reports, Adam’s former partner, Eirianedd Munroe, has publicly criticized his choice to legally change his last name after his marriage to Holly.

Sources say Adam’s former partner, the mother of his five-year-old son George, feels it’s unfair that both she and Adam have chosen the name Ramsay Peaty.

Eirianedd was reportedly upset when Adam rejected her idea of giving their son, George, both of their surnames, and she was further disheartened by her subsequent name change.

The couple had a son in 2020 and separated in 2022, just nine months after the father competed on Strictly Come Dancing.

A source told The Sun that Eiri finds it hypocritical Adam changed his name so readily, yet wouldn’t let her do the same for their son.

Adam seems to be acting like a hypocrite. Holly has really helped Adam become a better person, and they both adore George. Eiri is grateful that George has such a wonderful stepmother in Holly.

‘Although she says Adam has double standards over changing his name, she can’t fault him as a dad.’

Daily Mail has contacted Adam and Holly’s representatives for comment.

According to a source, the swimmer’s decision to change his last name wasn’t meant to cause trouble with his parents. He simply followed his wife’s preference for a double-barreled surname.

They admitted this decision would likely upset Caroline and Mark (Adam’s father), but emphasized that Adam simply wants the drama to stop.

The couple recently changed their names online, just days after getting married at Bath Abbey with around 200 guests. Notably, the groom’s family wasn’t present at the wedding.

Only Adam’s sister, Bethany, who was a bridesmaid, attended his wedding. However, reports suggest his father was later offered an invitation.

The long-standing feud between the two families has become more obvious since Adam excluded them from his wedding and his mother wasn’t invited to Holly’s bachelorette party.

You know, it’s always interesting to see how couples handle names after getting together. In this case, despite some family drama with the Peatys, they’ve actually decided to combine their names and include the Peaty surname in their new, combined name. It’s a surprisingly gracious move, honestly, and speaks to their desire to acknowledge all parts of their blended life.

Oh, my heart just breaks for Adam’s mom, Caroline! Everyone says she’s absolutely devastated – completely beside herself, they say – because she missed what should have been the most wonderful day of her life. It’s just…tragic. I can’t even imagine how she must be feeling. It’s like, all that joy, just ripped away. I’m sending her all my love, seriously. She deserves so much better.

Everyone in the Peaty family wasn’t invited to the wedding except for Adam’s sister, Beth, who was a bridesmaid.

Recent reports indicate that Mark, Adam’s father, was the sole guest invited to the wedding besides Beth. However, he was instructed to sit in the back, among the additional guests.

During the wedding, the bride’s father, Gordon, apparently made a harsh joke at the expense of the groom’s parents in his speech.

Gordon Ramsay, 59, has seemingly become involved in the family issues of Adam Peaty, stating that his wife, Tana, ‘will be a good mum to them both.’ The Sun reports that Adam has now blocked his family from contacting him.

During his speech, Gordon complimented Holly on how lovely she looked and told Adam he was fortunate to be marrying her. He then pointed to his wife, Tana, saying Adam could expect a similar happy future.

The article also reports that Gordon made a hurtful comment to his daughter Holly, seemingly referencing Adam’s parents, saying, ‘It’s a shame you don’t have the same.’

More than 130 miles away in Staffordshire, Adam’s mother, Caroline, was devastated to miss what should have been a joyous occasion. She was completely overwhelmed with grief.

Standing in front of the house where he spent his childhood, 59-year-old Adam told The Mail on Sunday, ‘I won’t let this happen to me again.’

She had told Daily Mail that she felt as if Holly and Adam ‘have cut my heart out’.

Just before Adam walked into the abbey with his son George, he received a heartbreaking text message from his aunt Louise, who hadn’t been invited to the wedding. We’re reporting this new information for the first time.

As someone who spends a lot of time thinking about healthy relationships, this message really struck me. It’s a raw expression of hurt, wishing that someone understands the pain they’ve caused their mother. What’s particularly heartbreaking is that even after all that pain, the mother’s love remains. It’s a powerful, and frankly, devastating statement about the impact of our actions and the enduring nature of a mother’s love, and it really highlights a lack of accountability. It just feels…sad.

On this joyful day, and every anniversary of it, please remember the deep pain you caused your mother. Her heart still aches from it.

This family feud started in September 2024 when Adam and Holly didn’t invite many of their relatives to their engagement party, causing significant hurt feelings.

Caroline wasn’t invited to Holly’s fancy hen party at Soho Farmhouse last month, despite years of driving her son to training and the presence of guests like Holly’s mother, Tana Ramsay, and Victoria Beckham.
