Information about the anticipated sequel to “Hollow Knight,” titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong,” has been scarce since its announcement in 2019. However, take comfort in knowing that the game is indeed in development, making steady progress, and is expected to be released.
As a passionate admirer, I was thrilled to hear directly from Matthew ‘Leth’ Griffin, PR and Marketing lead at Team Cherry, in response to one of our community members on Twitter or X, eagerly seeking an update on the highly anticipated sequel to our beloved Metroidvania game.
Fervent supporters eagerly anticipated news about the game, getting excited even over minor signs like William Pellen modifying his social media profile picture to a slice of chocolate cake. Some speculated that it could be a hint for an alternative reality game revealing the game’s release date.
According to YouTuber fireb0rn (as reported by GamesRadar), Leth had contacted him to clarify that there was no ARG (Alternate Reality Game) related to Silksong, and the alterations in William’s account and tweet were unimportant. fireb0rn apologized for any confusion caused and admitted that “the cake” (or the information he had shared earlier) was false.
The game titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong” is currently being worked on, however, a specific release date has yet to be announced, leaving us all in a state of anticipation. To help quell your excitement, you can view the unveiling trailer below.
