Holland Struggles to Buy Own Beer

Tom Holland shared that he wasn’t able to buy his own no-alcohol beer because his identification was not recognized.

In simple terms, the 28-year-old actor embarked on an adventure with his fans when he attempted to purchase a box of Bero, a top-tier non-alcoholic beer label he launched a year ago, yet encountered difficulties during the process.

On Tuesday, he took to Instagram Stories to share that he ventured out to Target specifically to pick up a box of Bero.

In a turn of events, however, his ID was not accepted and he ‘couldn’t prove [his] age.’ 

He mentioned that it had been a while since he was in the United States, and he planned to visit some friends who lived in the wilderness, as he put it, among the store shelves.

Inside a superstore, the actor famously known for Uncharted, previously inked with a similar design as his fiancée Zendaya prior to their proposal, recorded and shared yet another video.

He admitted, “I’ve only been to a second Target store because the first one I visited actually didn’t carry what I needed.” He then stated that this revelation wasn’t particularly beneficial for their marketing efforts.

After finding ‘no luck’ at the second Target location, he ventured to another. 

‘The hunt continues,’ he said. ‘I will find some today.’ 

In my fervor at a third venue, I stumbled upon a Bero showcase, yet acquiring a matching case proved to be another hurdle in my fanatic quest.

‘This is a bigger Target, so I feel more hopeful,’ he said at the beginning of the video. 

Later on, he showed a concluding video taken in the parking lot while he elaborated on nearly having to depart from Target once more without securing a case of Bero.

He excitedly announced, “It seems my search for success was fruitful! I acquired some of it, specifically a stockpile of my top-tier, alcohol-free beer, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found myself in an amusing predicament recently. Since my identification was English, it wasn’t accepted, and I couldn’t verify my age through alternative means. However, a kind soul, whom I consider to be a true gem, took the initiative to scan their own ID instead. I let out a hearty laugh at the irony of the situation.

He found it somewhat amusing, he noted, that he was not permitted to purchase the very item he was promoting, wrapping up his Instagram Story chronicle of an otherwise thrilling day.

Holland founded Bero amid his own sobriety journey. 

Previously, he remembered being motivated to launch the brand following his participation in the Dry January challenge in 2022, and since then, he’s chosen to abstain from alcohol for more than just that one month.

A brief post on his social media platform appeared not long after news broke about him getting engaged to Zendaya towards the end of last year, in December.
