Hocus Pocus icon who stars in Kristen Stewart’s new drama spotted in rare sighting… can you guess who?

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just saw him! It’s basically a Disney legend, and can you believe he’s in Kristen Stewart’s FIRST movie as a director?! I spotted him right here in Hollywood, getting all festive for the holidays. I nearly lost it!

Although she’s not a household name, she’s collaborated with many of Hollywood’s biggest stars throughout her career, starting when she was very young.

When she was 11 years old, she starred in the movie Hocus Pocus alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy.

She received widespread praise in 2002 for her performance in the film Ghost World, which also featured Scarlett Johansson. Her work in the movie earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

She starred alongside Harrison Ford in Patriot Games, Demi Moore in Now and Then, and with Annette Bening, Kevin Spacey, and Mena Suvari in the acclaimed film American Beauty.

However, just last week, she was simply enjoying the holidays with her husband at a Christmas party hosted by Vas J Morgan in Hollywood.

Actress Kate Birch attended the Vas J Morgan Christmas party on Thursday with her husband, Michael Benton Adler. The event was full of celebrities.

She wore a brown sweater, black slacks, and necklace while her spouse opted for a navy suit. 

Birch’s successful career most recently took her to the iconic Cannes Film Festival in France. 

She promoted her new film, The Chronology of Water, at a photo event. The film is based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s popular 2011 memoir and is also Kristen Stewart’s first time directing a full-length movie.

This latest success is a highlight in a long and impressive career. She was once a candidate for a role in Interview with a Vampire, but Kirsten Dunst ultimately landed the part.

Thora revealed back in January that she almost starred in Interview with the Vampire alongside Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

‘I took a number of meetings with the director,’ Birch told People.

But at just 12 years old, she felt unprepared to portray an adult woman trapped in a child’s body.

‘At the time, I was still quite innocent in a lot of ways,’ Birch recalled. ‘I grew up fast being a child actor, but there were still parts of that character and things that were required of her that I still felt were too adult, or I just didn’t connect up with it.

I couldn’t relate to the character’s intense and complicated feelings. It just felt uncomfortable to me.

Still, she added, ‘I did love it. I’m a huge fan of the movie and the show as well.’

Birch’s movies have become strongly associated with the nostalgic feelings of millennials, encompassing everything from the beloved films of their childhood, like ‘All I Want for Christmas’ and ‘Hocus Pocus,’ to the iconic movies that defined their teenage years, such as ‘American Beauty’ and ‘Ghost World’.

She believed that show had such a big, lasting effect because, back before streaming, everyone experienced the same popular culture together, watching the same shows at the same time.

‘We were all watching the same stuff, so we all had a similar frame of reference,’ she told People.

Looking back at my career, it’s crazy to me how much it’s reflected my personal life. I guess that happens when you start out so young – everything just kinda mirrors itself, you know? It’s like, what’s happening in my life is always showing up in what I do. It’s fascinating, really!

Everything you brought up was happening to me as it was happening, and I really did grow up with cameras around.

Recently, Birch has been actively pursuing her own creative projects, including directing and acting in television shows like Mayfair Witches, allowing her to showcase her talents on her own terms.
