Hitman: World of Assassination Has Reached 75 Million Players
IO Interactive revealed that the number of players for the Hitman: World of Assassination series has surpassed 75 million, officially making it the most popular Hitman game in history.
As a dedicated fan, I’ve been closely following the entire journey of Hitman since the thrilling launch of its trilogy opener back in 2016. This includes the release of Hitman III in 2021 and the exciting merging of all these games under the World of Assassination umbrella, which happened in 2023. It’s been an incredible ride so far!
Back in December 2024, my favorite game was bustling with over a million active gamers! Can you believe it? An impressive 40% of us managed to conquer the latest Elusive Target mission, aptly named “The Splitter.” This time, we were up against Max Valliant, a former ICA operative, brilliantly played by Jean-Claude Van Damme. The record for completing this mission stretches over seven hours, but let me tell you, there was one player who blew everyone away by finishing it in just 21 seconds!
The game titled “Hitman World of Assassination” can be played on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Meanwhile, the add-on pack called “The Splitter Pack” provides permanent access to a two-level Arcade mission named ‘The Replication’, The Splitter Boxer Suit, decorative items for the Freelancer Safehouse, and additional content for just $4.99/£3.99/€3.99.
