In the upcoming days, the popular British show titled “Avoidance,” featuring Romesh Ranganathan from “Taskmaster” and Jessica Knappett, will no longer be available on BBC iPlayer.
In this blend of comedy and drama, Ranganathan plays the role of Jonathan, a person who’s spent his life evading tough discussions “relentlessly.” However, his firm stance is challenged when his life takes an unexpected turn after splitting from Claire (Knappett).
As a gamer named Jonathan, I find myself moving in with my sis, Danielle (Mandeep Dhillon) and her partner Courtney (Lisa McGrillis). My boy, Spencer (Kieran Logendra), tags along on this new adventure. However, just like in some games where I don’t always reveal the full storyline to my teammates, I decide not to share with Spencer the real reason behind our move.
Developed by Ranganathan and Benjamin Green, this series has been broadcast for two seasons in 2022 and 2024. The first season is currently available on BBC iPlayer, but fans should hurry as the captivating storyline will conclude with the final six episodes being removed from the service on June 10th.
The work titled “Avoidance,” penned by both Ranganathan and Knappett, functions like a reunion of their appearances on the Channel 4 series, Taskmaster. They were featured in the inaugural and final seasons of this show.

In the second season of “Avoidance,” Aisling Bea, known for her role in the fifth season of Alex Horne’s panel game show, is also featured. She appears alongside Matthew Lewis as a new cast member in this series.
Known for collaborating with comedian Rob Beckett on numerous shows, Ranganathan was seen engaging in a fresh endeavor last February, as he was working at a bakery located in Surrey.

The comedian expressed, “It was a pleasure to interact with folks, and I couldn’t wait to join in the fun,” he said (via BBC Radio Surrey). “The audiences are more entertaining than my stand-up tour. I’m absolutely thrilled… We’ve been developing something fresh. It’s a croissant filled with cookie dough and chocolate.
He stated: “I’m telling you honestly – this isn’t health food. However, it’s currently being worked on and will be available soon. I don’t want to exaggerate, but I believe it’s going to transform baking as we know it. It’s going to bring about a revolution in the industry.
Avoidance is streaming on BBC iPlayer until 10 June.
The inaugural print magazine from Digital Spy, titled “British Comedy Legends,” is available for purchase! Grab a copy in your local newsstands or buy it online, now selling for only £3.99.
