After being cancelled by the BBC last year, Mock the Week is officially coming back – and we now know when and who will be on it. The show will return with Dara Ó Briain hosting and the same team producing it, and the premiere date and some of the cast have just been announced.
The show returns on Sunday, February 1st at 9pm on TLC. TLC is now available to watch for free on Freeview, Freely, and Freesat.
Fan favorites like “If This Is the Answer, What Is the Question?”, “Wheel of News”, “Picture of the Week”, and “Scenes We’d Like to See” will return, along with some fresh new rounds. This season’s nine episodes will also be longer than previous versions on the BBC.

The comedy lineup for the show includes Rhys James, Sara Pascoe, Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Hugh Dennis, Sarah Keyworth, Lou Sanders, Glenn Moore, Ellie Taylor, and Russell Howard.
They won’t be the only comedians making jokes about current events, and we’ll be sharing details of other performers soon.

“I’m genuinely delighted to be back doing Mock the Week and on TLC,” Dara said in a statement.
As far as I can recall, the show relies on clever comedians making lighthearted jokes, and any meaningful observations are just happy coincidences.
As far as I recall, my job mostly involved pressing a button and giving out pretend points. I’m still perfectly capable of doing that! Here you go – some imaginary points! It’s really that simple.
Okay, so get this – it’s actually coming back after everyone thought it was totally cancelled! Honestly, it’s gonna be hilarious to see people’s reactions. I’ll be there, for sure!

I’m pretty excited about TLC’s relaunch! They’ve got the British comedy show Mock the Week which is awesome, and they’re bringing over the new Big Bang Theory spin-off, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, on February 18th. Plus, they managed to snag The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon from Channel 4, so there’s a lot more to watch!
To watch shows like Mock the Week or programs on TLC, you’ll need either a Freesat box, a TV with Freely built-in, or Freeview. You can access Freeview through a traditional aerial, a satellite dish, or by using a Freeview box.
You can watch TLC live for free on the Discovery+ website or app. However, to watch TLC shows on demand, you’ll need a paid Discovery+ subscription, which you can get directly through Discovery+ or as an add-on to your Amazon Prime Video account.
Right now, you can watch the first few episodes of many shows on Discover+ for free to get a preview. It’s unclear if this free preview will include Mock the Week.
Mock the Week premieres on TLC on Sunday, 1 February at 9pm.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can purchase ‘Dolly at 80’ at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
