Victoria Pedretti, known for her roles in shows like The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and You, will star in a new FX and Hulu drama called Disinherited. According to Deadline and Variety, the series will be directed by Peter Gould, the award-winning television creator behind Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and the Apple TV+ series Pluribus.
FX Entertainment President Gina Balian called the series Disinherited “the kind of bold, character-focused storytelling FX is known for.” She added that it’s a relatable story about family, the abuse of power, and the resulting consequences, all set against a backdrop of difficult moral choices.
The story revolves around two sisters who are easy to support as they face an overwhelming challenge.

Elizabeth Pedretti and Kiera Allen (known from the film Run) will play the two main sisters in the upcoming drama. The story centers around these two determined sisters who suddenly come into money and uncover dark family secrets after receiving an unexpected inheritance.
The cast also includes Eddie Marsan (known for King and Conqueror), Karl Glusman (The Idol), Alan Ruck (Succession), Katja Herbers (Westworld), and Jonathan Higginbotham (The Walking Dead: Dead City).
Victoria Pedretti first gained recognition for her roles in popular Netflix series like Hill House and Bly Manor, both directed by Mike Flanagan. She then became a favorite among viewers as Love Quinn in You, playing the romantic interest of the main character, Joe Goldberg.

Good news for Mike Flanagan fans: he’s creating a new horror series! This time, he’s reimagining Stephen King’s classic novel, Carrie, for a modern audience.
Mike Flanagan recently shared a photo of his director’s chair covered in fake blood, announcing that filming on his new take on ‘Carrie’ had wrapped. In the accompanying Instagram post, he called the experience one of the highlights of his career, praising the cast and crew as one of his favorite groups to work with and expressing excitement for audiences to see the finished film.
So, I was reading about the new series coming to Prime Video, and the creator, Flanagan, talked to Empire (through Deadline) about how they found a totally fresh approach. He said a new idea just kind of… appeared, and it felt really relevant and different from anything else out there right now.
He explained that he loved tackling original ideas and finding innovative approaches. He used to firmly believe in avoiding follow-up projects, saying, ‘No sequels.’
