Many fans think the singer’s new pop-rock song – which tells the story of a man who only dates much younger women – is clearly about Leonardo DiCaprio.

The actor, 51, is notorious for dating supermodels aged 25 and under. 

Leonardo DiCaprio has been dating Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, age 27, since 2023. Notably, she’s one of the oldest women he’s dated.

On the song ‘Mature,’ Duff is direct and intimate, singing about a connection with someone who feels like a familiar version of herself – a younger, slightly updated version. She playfully notes the other person’s Leo and Scorpio astrological traits, suggesting a recognizable pattern in their personality.

Not only does she mention Leo, the Oscar-winning actor is also a Scorpio. 

People online have noticed possible hints about Leonardo DiCaprio elsewhere in the song, such as a mention of a painting by artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

She sings about a romantic encounter, suggesting a woman is flattered by the singer’s possessions – like an old rug and a Basquiat painting – and mistakenly believes he’s profound despite his shallowness.

According to Architectural Digest, Leonardo DiCaprio bought a house in Malibu in 1998 with a private entrance to Carbon Beach.

Fans believe Hilary Duff’s song ‘Mature’ might be about Leonardo DiCaprio, and they’ve found an older song she wrote that seems to describe him, potentially referencing his role in ‘Titanic’.

The song ‘Danger,’ released in 2007, includes the lyrics, ‘Were you born in ’74? Should I just ignore you?’
