Hilary Duff branded ‘insufferable’ after claiming she ‘never fights’ with husband Matthew Koma

Hilary Duff recently shared that she and her husband, Matthew Koma, rarely argue, only having one major disagreement each year.

The 38-year-old singer shared in an interview with Interview Magazine that they and their partner rarely argue, only having one big disagreement each year.

‘Boring – insufferable broad,’ one commented.

‘Not her romanticizing toxicity gross girl bye,’ another posted.

‘She’s a lil toxic you guys,’ one commented.

Someone playfully told them it was too soon to judge their marriage, suggesting they check back in after ten years, and included a laughing-crying emoji.

Someone jokingly suggested that if ignoring the situation seemed to be working for everyone, they should just continue to avoid dealing with it. They ended the comment with a laughing emoji.

Duff says she and her husband rarely argue, though they have one big fight every year. She admits one of these disagreements led to her throwing his phone into the bushes.

She told Dakota Fanning in an Interview magazine conversation that people often ask her what it’s like to work with her husband and if they argue frequently. She replied that they actually never fight.

‘Yeah, you guys never really fight,’ Fanning said.

That’s not really accurate. We only have one big argument each year. He actually mentioned it recently, saying it had been a long time since our last fight. I responded by asking if he was prepared for one.

‘Are you ready?’ Fanning said with a laugh.

No, I don’t regret it. I actually felt relieved when I threw his phone into a bougainvillea bush. It happened during the wildfires, when we’d all been forced to evacuate and were dealing with a lot of stress and all the kids. We just needed to confront the issue.

We rarely argue, but when we were making the record, communication was difficult because I don’t speak the language. He’s been making music constantly since he was a teenager, so I told him, “What’s that noise? Take it out!”

The couple married in 2019 and have four children together: seven-year-old Banks, four-year-old Mae James, one-year-old Townes Meadow, and Luca Cruz Comrie, Duff’s 13-year-old son from a previous marriage with Mike Comrie.

Duff shared his side of the story shortly after Koma faced criticism for his own statements about their relationship.

The popular singer recently gave a detailed interview to Rolling Stone magazine. She talked about her latest album, ‘Luck… Or Something,’ her comeback to performing live, and what’s been happening in her personal life.

Her surprisingly frank admission that she worries her partner will eventually leave her for someone more attractive or exciting surprised people.

And Koma’s response to her insecurities only added fuel to the fire.

Duff confessed in the interview that she constantly worries Matt will leave her for one of the more interesting musicians he collaborates with.

Koma responded, saying it was crazy, but also genuinely understandable – those were real issues people could get emotionally invested in.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe what happened! This whole thing blew up on X, formerly Twitter, so fast! Everyone is absolutely destroying this producer and DJ – the one who married Hilary Duff back in 2019. It’s just… the internet is not happy, and honestly, I kind of get why. It’s everywhere!

‘Why is that a real thing for your wife to be insecure about, Matthew?’ one user quipped.

‘If my man said this publicly I would cheat on him,’ announced another.

‘Divorce,’ someone else simply typed.

‘Why would you say her feelings are REAL?’ asked a different disgruntled fan.

One post described the reaction as “wild,” while another questioned whether his response was actually comforting, ending with a frustrated, “What the heck?”

Another user firmly stated, “A good man would never make you feel like that.”

‘This does not sound like a healthy relationship,’ theorized someone else.

‘He gives me the ick,’ announced a different user.

Some people defended him, with one person explaining that he seemed to be acknowledging her feelings and showing empathy, while also making it clear he didn’t believe the situation would actually occur.
