A popular Cartoon Network show, Lamput, will be leaving HBO Max after tomorrow. The Indian animated series, which first aired in November 2016 and has four seasons, is known for its silent format and classic animation style reminiscent of Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. It was created by Vaibhav Kumaresh, who also directed episodes with Anand Babu.
Watch Lamput before it leaves HBO Max tomorrow
Fans of Cartoon Network’s Lamput have limited time to watch Season 1 on HBO Max. It’s scheduled to be removed on January 31, 2026, ending its three-year availability on the streaming service. The show—including Seasons 1, 2, and 3—first became available on HBO Max on April 28, 2022.
The show centers around Lamput, a playful orange blob who breaks free from the lab of Specs and Skinny. They constantly try to recapture him, but he’s too clever and uses his shapeshifting powers to stay one step ahead, making it a difficult chase.
The first season of Lamput, with 46 episodes, originally aired from November 30th to December 4th, 2016. The second season, consisting of 21 episodes, premiered two years later and ran from January 9th to October 28th, 2018.
The third season premiered nearly two years after the second, with 43 episodes broadcast from February 23, 2020, to August 3, 2021.
The fourth season of Lamput was originally planned to have 42 episodes and premiered on June 25, 2022. As of now, though, only 37 episodes have been made available.
Each episode of the show has a different length. Season 1 episodes are very brief, lasting only 15 seconds. Season 2 episodes are longer, running for 2 minutes each. Season 3 varies between 2 and 5 minutes per episode, with some special episodes lasting 7 minutes. Season 4 features even longer episodes, typically around 11 minutes long.
Lamput has received numerous awards and nominations, including recognition from the Asian Academy Creative Awards for programs aimed at children, animated series, and short-form content. It has also been honored with an International Emmy Kids Award and a ContentAsia Award for Best Kids TV Programme.
