Highlander: Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill Shows Off Ripped Physique Ahead of Remake

Henry Cavill, known for his role in Highlander, recently showed off the impressive physical shape he’s achieved while getting ready for his part in the new film.

In a recent Instagram post, Cavill shared a photo of himself training, despite being injured. He’s wearing a cast and boot on his foot after getting hurt during fight training for a project last month. The photo’s caption featured a quote from the Dungeons & Dragons campaign Planescape: Torment, which centers around the theme of perseverance.

What do we know about the Highlander movie?

The upcoming remake of Highlander will feature Henry Cavill as Connor MacLeod, a role famously played by Christopher Lambert. Joining Cavill in the cast are Dave Bautista, Russell Crowe, Jeremy Irons, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Max Zhang.

The storyline for the upcoming Highlander film hasn’t been announced yet. Initially, the movie was being developed by Lionsgate, but it’s now being produced by Amazon MGM Studios instead.

The original Highlander film begins with Russell Nash (played by Lambert) fatally wounding a man in a sword duel in a New York City parking garage, leaving a fragment of an old weapon behind in a vehicle. The film’s description continues, explaining that after forensic expert Brenda Wyatt (Roxanne Hart) finds this strange evidence, she and her colleague, Lt. Frank Moran (Alan North), start looking into Nash. This investigation quickly draws them into a perilous, age-old conflict between incredibly powerful immortals.
