The adrenaline-pumping series, often referred to as “high-speed,” titled Twisted Metal, is back on UK streaming platforms, debuting its second season.
In the UK, you can now stream the initial three episodes of this series by subscribing to Paramount+. This service can be accessed through its standalone app/website or as an additional channel on Amazon Prime Video.
Two more parts will be released each Friday from now until the end of August, but for those in the U.S., new episodes will air on Thursdays through Peacock.
Drawing inspiration from the PlayStation game franchise, the show presents an array of eccentric personalities living in a post-apocalyptic landscape. The second installment of this series primarily revolves around the chaotic events surrounding the renowned Twisted Metal competition.
The upcoming season of the show features Anthony Mackie from Captain America, Will Arnett known for Arrested Development, Thomas Haden Church, famously from Easy A, Stephane Beatriz of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and newcomer Anthony Carrigan who previously played Superman in a different context.

As I’m typing this up, it turns out that “Twisted Metal” is currently the second most-popular series streaming on Paramount+, with “South Park” stealing the spotlight as it makes its grand comeback. But hey, who can resist a good game showdown and some witty South Park humor?
The response to this season has been overwhelmingly positive, earning a 94% approval rating based on 16 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Notably, this represents a significant leap over its previous installment, which garnered a 67% score from 49 reviews.
If the initial season seemed more like fulfilling the trend of video game adaptations, the second season appears to be a genuine attempt to please both enthusiasts of the games as well as those who have not played them before. (RogerEbert.com)
In their review, FandomWire stated that the second season is packed with thrilling, energetic action. They also pointed out that there’s a good mix of action types and, more crucially, high emotional tension, which keeps the story engaging.

According to IGN, in its second season, the main event of the named tournament becomes the focal point, resulting in both amusing and fulfilling outcomes. The narrative is more streamlined, characters are further developed, and there’s some amazingly destructive car combat action.
In season two of Twisted Metal, there’s twice as much chaos, craziness, and thrilling action, according to Mama’s Geeky. Despite the constant explosions and tangled metal, there’s an unexpected dose of emotion. It’s hard not to feel a connection with these characters.
In the United Kingdom, you can catch new episodes of Twisted Metal season 2 weekly on Paramount+. Meanwhile, viewers in the U.S. can find these episodes on Peacock each week.
