Leslie Davis, known for starring in the HGTV show Unsellable Houses, recently revealed she’s divorced her husband, Jacob, and is now engaged to a new partner.
I’m so thrilled to share that Davis just announced on Instagram she’s engaged to Don Reidy! He’s a carpenter and also stars on HGTV, and they actually met while filming ‘Rock the Block’ back in 2023. It’s such wonderful news, and I’m so happy for them both!
People were surprised by the announcement, especially since Davis hadn’t yet revealed she was divorcing the father of her three sons, Kyler, Cash, and Cole.
Davis shared a blog post on Friday to explain that she and her high school sweetheart, Jacob, had ended their relationship in 2022.
Even though her marriage ended, she praised her ex-husband as a fantastic father, saying they’ve successfully worked together as co-parents to raise their sons.
‘With lots of changes, our priority was to always protect our family, which is why I have kept this part of my life private,’ she wrote on her website Lamb & Co. ‘And seriously, who even announces a divorce anyway LOL!’
She understands fans are curious and explained she’s chosen to keep this aspect of her life private, which is difficult given her public role on HGTV.
Jacob preferred to keep his personal life private, but he and Davis separated in 2022 with the goal of building a positive and stable environment for their three sons, according to Davis.
She stated that she and her ex-husband will always care for one another, though their relationship has changed. They’ve found a way to be supportive co-parents, prioritizing their sons and encouraging each other’s future happiness.
Designer and realtor Mary Davis became well-known through the HGTV show Unsellable Houses, which she’s co-hosted with her twin sister, Lyndsay Lamb, since 2019.
In the show’s first few seasons, she was still married to Jacob, and he occasionally appeared before they divorced in 2022.
She shared this week that she first met her fiancé, Don Reidy, while they were both filming the HGTV show Rock the Block in Florida last year.
Rock the Block brings together popular renovators from different HGTV shows. They each get a house on the same street to remodel, and they compete to see who can boost their property’s value the most.
Davis remembers that despite the challenges, long hours, and fun times on set, they and their co-star became close friends and remained in contact after filming wrapped.
Despite living in different states – Reidy in Colorado and Davis in Washington – they started dating, making it a long-distance relationship.
After a year of dating, he relocated to Snohomish. This week, he proposed to her while they were snowmobiling in Leavenworth, Washington, with her sons watching.
She excitedly shared the news of her engagement on Instagram this Wednesday, calling Reidy her ‘safe place, teammate, and favorite adventure buddy.’
Reflecting on how their relationship began, she explained that it blossomed from a friendship formed during a particularly exciting time in her life. They supported each other then, and she feels confident they will continue to support each other for the rest of their lives.
