“He’s ready for my downfall” – Arslan Ash accuses Knee of fueling doping controversy

Tekken’s top player Arslan Ash has criticized fellow pro Knee for boosting a tweet about his previous anti-doping suspension. On his live stream, he implied the retweet might have stemmed from a grudge, saying: “If you repost something that could potentially harm my career, what else can I assume about your intentions?

In a recent challenge, the top player of Tekken 8, Arslan Ash, has publicly addressed another professional Tekken player, Knee, over his active sharing on Twitter about the anti-doping infractions in the International eSports Federation (IESF) that he faced in the year 2022.

Arslan Ash believes that his South Korean opponent secretly hopes for his defeat and that some of Knee’s behaviors may stem from resentment towards him. Over a month since the initial post, Arslan Ash is urging Knee to clarify his actions.

Arslan Ash shared his thoughts about Knee during the broadcast of Final Judgement 2025. Final Judgment is a significant competition organized by the community for players aged 96 and above, which is part of the Tekken World Tour 2025. The top performances in this event contributed to Pakistan’s Regional Rankings.

What did Knee share on social media?

On July 2nd, Knee shared a post on Twitter from user onibakuman, which detailed IESF’s official statement concerning Arslan Ash’s breach of the anti-doping regulation. This tweet has garnered more than 1.3 million views now.

A key aspect behind Arslan Ash’s anger stems from the decision made by the International Esports Federation (IESF) regarding the World Esports Championships held in 2022, specifically on Tekken 7. The IESF penalized Arslan Ash with a two-year ban, starting from April 2023 and ending in April 2025. However, it’s puzzling as to why the ruling was announced by IESF in June 2025 instead of earlier.

“You can think of this like he’s [Knee] ready for my downfall”

Arslan Ash on Final Judgment stream

Arslan Ash stated during the Final Judgment broadcast that Onibakuman’s tweet became widely known due to Knee sharing it. Nevertheless, Ash suggests that Knee could have handled the situation better, and he implies that this might have been done intentionally to harm his reputation.

Arslan Ash mentioned during his live stream that he didn’t expect Knee to take such an action, but remains perplexed as to why he posted that tweet. It was Knee who initially shared the tweet, which is why everyone else became aware of it.

I didn’t respond because if I do, it could harm me. Essentially, it seems like he’s waiting for an opportunity to bring me down. If you share a tweet that might tarnish my reputation or career, then how would I view you?”

This version aims to maintain the original meaning while using simpler and more natural language. The revised sentence structure is also easier to follow and understand.

“Why did he do that?” ArslanAsh demands answers from Knee

It seems that Arslan Ash continues to struggle with the issue of his knee’s role in sharing the IESF anti-doping decision on social media. Despite more than a month having passed since the post, Arslan Ash is now actively seeking an explanation from the person in South Korea regarding their actions.

Arslan Ash commented, “Everyone seemed to be on my side, but I couldn’t help but wonder why Knee did what he did. I can’t fathom his thought process. It seems to me that perhaps there’s some lingering resentment, though I’m unsure as to the reason, and now I’m questioning if it was because I said Bryan is among the top three?

I’ve been working on all these things because I want to know why he acted that way. His actions led others to do the same (share), but he could have asked in person instead. It seems strange to me.

Has Knee responded to Arslan Ash?

The knee (referring to a person) has not responded yet to Arslan Ash about the IESF doping retweet. Nevertheless, recent comments made by Arslan Ash on his stream have reignited the debate and triggered Tekken 8 fans to pick their preferred champion.

This discussion, happening simultaneously on social media, involves Knee and Arslan Ash debating about whether the character Bryan, chosen by Knee, is excessively powerful. To demonstrate that he isn’t, Knee has proposed an FT10 (best of ten) match between Nina and Bryan in a reverse setup, challenging Arslan Ash to the contest.

When will Knee and Arslan Ash next play on LAN?

At EVO 2025, taking place from August 1st to 3rd, both players, Knee and Arslan Ash, will be attending. This could potentially lead to a thrilling face-off between the two on LAN. If Arslan Ash manages a top 4 finish at EVO 2025, he will also secure his place at the Esports World Cup from August 13th to 16th, an event that Knee has already qualified for.

Let’s hope the gods of Tekken 8 grant our wish, as a match between Arslan Ash and Knee in a LAN tournament would be truly spectacular considering the latest developments.
