Here’s your first look at the new “incredible” Greatest Showman cast as premiere date is announced

Get ready for *The Greatest Showman* on stage! Following the huge success of the movie, Disney Theatrical Group is bringing the musical to the Bristol Hippodrome in spring 2026, thanks to a partnership with ATG Entertainment.

I’m so excited! Disney just announced the full cast and creative team for the show, and rehearsals are starting soon! Even better, they’ve got some amazing West End stars joining us – Oliver Tompsett, who I loved in *Rock of Ages* and *& Juliet*, and Samantha Barks, who was incredible in *Les Misérables* and *Frozen*! I can’t wait to see them in this!

The actors playing P.T. Barnum and Charity Barnum – characters famously portrayed by Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams in the movie – have expressed their enthusiasm about taking on the roles.

Tompsett expressed his excitement about joining the original cast of *The Greatest Showman*, calling the role a rare and wonderful opportunity. He said he’s eager to start working with director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw and the rest of the team during rehearsals.

Barks shared her excitement about returning to Disney to play Charity Barnum, saying, “I’m really happy to be back! There’s something truly special about *The Greatest Showman* – the songs are already beloved – and I can’t wait to work with Olly to portray this wonderful couple and their lasting love on stage.”

Lorna Courtney plays Anne Wheeler, Ben Joyce is Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch is Jenny Lind, and Malinda Parris plays Lettie Lutz in the cast.

Casey Nicholaw, a Tony Award-winning director and choreographer known for his work on shows like *Dreamgirls*, *The Book of Mormon*, and Disney’s *Aladdin* and *Hercules*, will direct and choreograph the production.

The stage show will, as anticipated, include the award-winning music of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Audiences can look forward to hearing popular songs like ‘The Greatest Show’, ‘Rewrite the Stars’, and ‘This is Me’, along with several new songs written specifically for this production.

Nicholaw has given a sneak peek of the show’s cast, expressing excitement to finally introduce Oliver Tompsett and Samantha Barks, who will be leading the production.

We’ve assembled an incredibly talented group of artists to adapt this wonderful story for the stage. Featuring a fresh new book by Tim Federle and the well-known music of Pasek and Paul, along with a top-notch creative team, we’re thrilled to finally share this story with audiences in a live theatrical experience.
