Here’s your first look at Outlander star’s “tense and claustrophobic” British thriller Row
The forthcoming British thriller, “Row,” featuring actress Sophie Skelton from “Outlander,” has unveiled several fresh initial photographs.
As Director Matthew Losasso puts it, “Row” is characterized by a sense of tension and claustrophobia. This narrative unfolds around a woman who finds herself stranded onshore following a disastrous shipwreck in the vast North Atlantic.
In a tragic turn of events with her companions seemingly lost at sea, the lone survivor needs to recall the ocean’s past events to make sense of it all and clear her name of any wrongdoing.

As I step onto shore, battered and bruised from my perilous journey across the North Atlantic, I find myself facing a harrowing interrogation. Memories long buried begin to surface, painting a chilling picture of the events that transpired far beyond the safety of the shoreline. The terror of what unfolded out at sea is now a haunting reality I must confront.
Alongside Skelton in the lineup are actors Bella Dayne from Humans, Akshay Khanna known for Red, White & Royal Blue, and Mark Strepan who appeared in Before We Die.
The film titled “Row,” written by Nick Skaugan, will make its global debut at the upcoming Raindance Film Festival in June.
Initial glimpses of the sea-set thriller portray the disheveled team aboard their vessel, seemingly engaged in a nerve-wracking struggle for life amidst perilous circumstances.
On his site, Losasso described his first film as a “tense, psychologically claustrophobic suspenseful drama.” It’s set in the dramatic scenery of the North Atlantic sea and the Scottish isle of Hoy.
At the time when the movie was first revealed, the director shared insights on the script, describing it as both captivating and intense, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As far as the eye can see, an endless sea seems to expand in every direction, according to Losasso, aboard the Valiant. The cramped quarters foster feelings of unease and heightened emotions. It’s a captivating and remarkably bold screenplay.
In addition to the hurdle of shooting on water, let’s complicate matters further with a tangled, mysterious storyline, intricate methods to sidestep using green screens for backdrops, an obligation to portray the raw splendor of oceanic landscapes, and the limitations inherent in independent filmmaking.
Skelton gained recognition for playing Brianna Fraser in the popular time-traveling historical drama, Outlander, an adaptation from Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling novel series.
Fans of the Outlander series have just gotten some thrilling news with the announcement of the release date for the much-awaited spinoff titled “Blood of My Blood.
The series is structured around two distinct time periods, with its narrative centering primarily on the parents of Outlander’s main characters, Claire Beauchamp (played by Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (portrayed by Sam Heughan).
In April, it was revealed that the upcoming series would make its U.S. debut on August 8th. The next day, the show will air for the first time in the UK on MGM+.
