Here’s when Zootropolis 2 will be available to watch on Disney+

The sequel to Zootopia, titled Zootropolis 2, is now playing in theaters! It follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they team up to investigate a new mystery that puts the city at risk. Unfortunately, it’s not yet available to watch at home.

The new Zootopia movie is currently playing only in theaters, which isn’t surprising considering the first film made over $1 billion in 2016. Disney hasn’t announced when Zootopia 2 will be available on Disney+, but it will eventually be added alongside the original movie and its spin-off series.

As a huge Disney fan, I’ve been checking when Zootopia 2 will finally come to Disney+! Looking at how Disney’s released other movies, I think I’ve figured out a likely timeframe for when we can watch it from home if we miss it in theaters.

When will Zootropolis 2 be released on Disney+?

Currently, there’s no official date for when Zootropolis 2 will be available on Disney+, and it looks like we’ll have a bit of a wait.

Disney movies usually become available on their streaming service about 100 days after they finish playing in theaters. While some movies, like Snow White, have arrived sooner – after just 83 days – we expect this new sequel, which is predicted to be very popular, will follow the typical 100-day timeframe.

We likely won’t be able to stream Zootropolis 2 on Disney+ until sometime in early March 2026. Disney usually releases new films on Wednesdays, so the most probable dates are either March 4th or March 11th, 2026, depending on a roughly 100-day release window.

When Zootropolis 2 arrives on Disney+, you can start watching it at 8am in the UK. In the US, it will be available at midnight Pacific Time or 3am Eastern Time.

While you’re waiting, you can enjoy rewatching Zootopia on Disney+, as well as its spin-off series, Zootopia+, which came out in November 2022. Disney+ also has a special feature about Zootopia 2, including a longer scene from the movie and other behind-the-scenes footage.

If you don’t already have Disney+, you can start a subscription for as little as £5.99 a month with the Standard with Ads plan. You can also choose ad-free plans for £9.99 or £14.99 a month, or pay annually for £99.90 or £149.90.

When will Zootropolis 2 be released on digital platforms?

Before it starts streaming, you’ll be able to buy or rent Zootopia 2 to watch the movie at home.

Disney hasn’t announced when you’ll be able to buy or rent Zootopia 2 digitally, but usually it’s about two months after the movie comes out in theaters. Based on that, it will probably be available digitally in late January 2026.

If you’re eager to see Zootopia 2 and don’t want to wait for it to be available online, the only place to watch it currently – and for the next few months – is in theaters.

There’s some good news too: Zootopia 2 is now playing in theaters! You can go see it at your local cinema. And if you’re in the UK, you can find great deals on tickets at most major cinema chains.

You can now see Zootropolis 2 in movie theaters. The original Zootropolis movie and its TV series, Zootropolis+, are both streaming on Disney+.
