Here's the horror movie you should watch this Halloween based on your zodiac sign

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for horror and a deep understanding of astrology, I find this list to be an intriguing blend of two worlds that often don’t intersect – at least not as seamlessly as it does here!

As Halloween is nearly here, you’ve got some time left to catch a few more chilling flicks that fit the spooky mood. Instead of sticking to the usual horror picks, why not try something unique this year by selecting a movie that aligns with your zodiac sign?

Here’s a fun take on astrology and movies, just for giggles, no worries if the movie I suggest doesn’t resonate with your sun sign!

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Under the Skin

With a sci-fi edge over horror, “Under the Skin” caters to intellectually curious Aquarians who relish thought-provoking films that stir emotions rather than relying on plot alone. These deep thinkers will find themselves pondering this movie long after it ends. Notably, Scarlett Johansson delivers one of her finest performances in this film, which is a hauntingly unique production from Jonathan Glazer. The story revolves around an alien entity that feeds on men.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Battle Royale

Bold and rivalrous Aries might discover a sense of release in the ruthless and fierce setting of this 2000 Japanese film classic, “Battle Royale.” While it primarily focuses on survival and action, there are undeniably horror elements as well. This isn’t a movie for those with delicate sensibilities; it’s ideal for the strong-willed Aries. In essence, a precursor to “The Hunger Games,” “Battle Royale” is a film set in an alternate reality where the Japanese government places 50 teenagers on a secluded island and forces them to battle each other until only one survivor remains.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22): Carrie

“Our adored crustaceans are among the most cautious creatures; they are careful with their emotions and experience things deeply. In the story, Carrie, we see a young girl who has been bullied her whole life by both her schoolmates and her own mother. However, in an unexpected twist reminiscent of a horror movie, she ultimately gets her revenge on everyone in a twisted manner. It’s not suggesting that Cancers are prone to violent acts, but they may share a similar sense of relief with Carrie when she finally lets go of all the pent-up emotions she has been harboring.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Tobe Hooper, the director behind the 1974 chilling masterpiece The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, made it clear that his film carried strong political undertones relevant to the times. Much like Capricorns who are known for their directness, ambition, and practicality, viewers who enjoy films with layers of meaning might find this movie intriguing, along with its iconic final girl character in an unforgettable ending.

Gemini (May 21 – June 21): Us

In a somewhat predictable selection given that Us is a film centered around doppelgangers, and Gemini being the zodiac sign of twins, I find Us to be an exceptional movie and one of my favorites from Jordan Peele. The movie offers much more than just the “evil twin” premise, as that barely touches the surface. Being a Gemini isn’t primarily about having a twin but rather managing multiple intricate emotions simultaneously. There couldn’t be a more fitting portrayal than the complicated bond between an individual and their counterpart from the tethered world?

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Midsommar

With its vivid hues and undeniable flair for attention, “Midsommar” stands out as an exceptional horror film for the Leo-hearted. As a fellow Leo myself, I wholeheartedly endorse this choice. What sets “Midsommar” apart is not just its unique daylight setting, but also its chilling portrayal of trauma and its transformation of being “chosen,” in this instance as the May Queen, into a genuine terror-inducing scenario.

Libra (September 23 – October 22): Rosemary’s Baby

In 2024, Rosemary’s Baby continues to resonate powerfully due to its themes of intelligence, thoughtfulness, and justice. Many films this year have drawn inspiration from the 1976 original. As Libras are known for their pursuit of equilibrium and harmony, symbolized by the scale, a movie like Rosemary’s Baby, where a woman battles to reclaim control over her body and life, makes for an excellent choice.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): A Nightmare on Elm Street

People frequently remark that individuals born under the sign of Pisces can be highly sensitive and somewhat lost in thought, with a fondness for incorporating imaginative aspects into their narratives. To put it simply, they are known as dreamers. If we consider this literally, characters like Freddy Krueger – a horror figure who intrudes upon our deepest thoughts – could indeed be quite terrifying for Pisces, given their affinity for the realm of dreams.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21): Malignant

For a Sagittarius to maintain focus, they require something distinctive and powerfully engaging. The film “Malignant” is an ideal choice as it’s a contemporary horror movie that becomes incredibly unhinged in the third act. It’s one of those films that leaves viewers divided, with many either adoring it wholeheartedly or vehemently disliking it. There’s something intriguing about the puzzle of predicting its direction and where you might stand on the issue that a Sagittarius will find captivating.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Jennifer’s Body

It’s unfair that Scorpios are frequently stereotyped as being “unpleasant” in the zodiac; this characterization is actually a misconception.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The Menu

In my life, I find myself surrounded by numerous individuals born under the sign of Taurus, and there’s one trait they all share – an affinity for luxurious items. However, they can also be quite obstinate and are known for holding grudges. The restaurant The Menu would make an excellent choice for this zodiac sign, as it embodies these characteristics: a lavish ambiance that takes a dark turn when you discover the head chef has been nurturing a deep-seated grudge against his patrons and has prepared a horrifying feast to end all feasts.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): The Wailing
