As a veteran Dota 2 fan with countless tournaments under my belt and countless sleepless nights spent analyzing every move made by my favorite teams, I can’t help but be excited about the upcoming PGL Wallachia S2!
The PGL Wallachia Season 2 commences in October, following the conclusion of The International 2024. At present, six teams have secured their qualification, while invitations have been extended to ten organizations. Here’s a comprehensive rundown of the information you sought!
2024’s International is still far off, yet we already have the participating teams confirmed for the significant tournament that follows PGL Wallachia S2. Based on the outcomes of the first season, ten teams were given direct invitations to the event. On the other hand, six additional teams had to compete in regional qualifiers, with each region offering only one spot.
Conversely, organizing a significant tournament so shortly after TI carries its own challenges. Every year, the competitive landscape undergoes substantial changes during what’s colloquially known as the “TI-shuffle.” During this offseason, numerous teams restructure their lineups based on which players become available as “free agents.”

Due to various factors, many teams will be undetermined (TBD) right up till The International 2024. Nevertheless, let me share the lineup of the ten teams competing in the PGL Wallachia S2.
- Team Liquid (WEU)
- Team Falcons (MENA)
- Team Spirit (EEU)
- Xtreme Gaming (CN)
- HEROIC (SA)
- nouns (NA)
- G2 x iG (CN)
- Tundra Esports (WEU)
- Cloud9 (WEU)
Who are the regional champions for the PGL Wallachia S2 Closed Qualifiers?
Although the rule book isn’t openly available, it’s reasonable to infer that teams who have qualified for this season can substitute with a temporary player if any of their players change teams after the TI-shuffle. However, here are the six teams that have made it to the PGL Wallachia S2 for each region:
