As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for talent and a deep appreciation for lineage that speaks volumes, I am captivated by none other than Louisa Jacobson Gummer, the youngest daughter of the illustrious Meryl Streep. With a family tree that boasts Hollywood royalty, it’s no wonder that Louisa has chosen to follow in her mother’s footsteps and make her mark on the acting world.
Her mother has won several Oscars and is considered one of the best actresses of her generation.
For numerous decades, this legend has shared the screen with notable actors such as Kevin Kline, Steve Martin, Clint Eastwood, and Tom Cruise.
And she has done everything from serious fare to wild comedies.
Now, she’s starring in a popular TV show (it’s been whispered that she’s romantically involved with her co-star following her divorce from her long-term spouse, who is an acclaimed artist).
Now her kids are in the acting game.
On Saturday her youngest daughter looked ravishing at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
Who is she?

She is Louisa Jacobson Gummer, born in Los Angeles in 1991.
She stars on HBO’s period drama series The Gilded Age.
She is the youngest child of actress Meryl Streep.
This budding actress graduated from the Yale School of Drama with an MFA in acting.
Her dad is Streep’s ex, sculptor Don Gummer.
She is the younger sister of musician Henry Gummer and actresses Mamie Gummer and Grace Gummer.
She attended Poly Prep Country Day School and graduated from Vassar College in 2013 majoring in psychology.

Apart from that, she has studied at the British American Drama Academy’s three-week summer course in Oxford, and she holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Yale School of Drama.
Jacobson publicly came out as queer in June 2024.
Shared the news publicly alongside her partner Anna Blundell on Instagram, expressing gratitude for embarking on a Happy New Chapter using rainbow flag emojis.
She has also done well in theater.
2017 saw Jacobson make her first professional acting appearance on stage, portraying Mary Dalton in a production of Nambi E. Kelley’s Native Son at the Yale Repertory Theatre.
In the subsequent year, she was the leading actress in the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s staging of Carson McCullers’ play, The Member of the Wedding (2018).
In 2019, she starred as Juliet in The Old Globe’s production of Romeo and Juliet.

In the year 2022, she appeared in the Lindsay Joelle production of “Trayf” at the Geffen Playhouse, and she also started playing a role in “The Gilded Age.
2024 found Jacobson working as an assistant director under Michael Breslin for the Off-Broadway production titled Invasive Species.
In the very same year, she landed a supporting part in the romantic comedy “Materialists,” directed by Celine Song for A24, and this production took place right here in New York City.
