Henry Cavill lands next lead movie role

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with a soft spot for action-packed adventures, I can hardly contain my excitement about Henry Cavill’s latest role in the live-action Voltron film! It’s been a rollercoaster year for Cavill, from his cameo as Wolverine variant Cavillrine in Deadpool & Wolverine to leading Matthew Vaughn’s espionage thriller Argylle. And let’s not forget the news of his and girlfriend Natalie Viscuso’s first child on the way!

Henry Cavill has landed his next lead movie role.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will be part of the cast in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action Voltron movie. Filming is scheduled to start in Australia towards the end of this year, but specific storyline details are being tightly guarded for now.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the mastermind behind “Red Notice,” Rawson Marshall Thurber, is steering the director’s chair for this upcoming film. Not only did he pen the script with Ellen Shanman, but he’s also taking on the producer’s role! Alongside Todd Lieberman, Bob Koplar, and David Hoberman, we can expect a fantastic production.

In addition to Daniel Quinn-Toye, who has made a name for himself in the British sitcom “Badults” and stood in for Tom Holland in “Romeo & Juliet” on the West End recently, Cavill will also be part of the cast.

The popular TV series known as Voltron is inspired by multiple Japanese animated shows, such as Beast King GoLion and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV.

The story focuses on five youthful pilots who operate individual vehicles, which merge to create a colossal robot called Voltron.

Since its initial release, the show has given birth to multiple American adaptations, one of them being “Voltron: Legendary Defender” on Netflix, spanning over eight seasons.

2021 has been quite a whirlwind for me, packed with exciting projects. Most recently, I stepped into the role of Cavillrine, a unique take on Wolverine, in the smash-hit Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine. This blockbuster raked in an incredible $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

This year, Cavill starred in director Matthew Vaughn’s enigmatic spy thriller titled Argylle. The plot revolves around the character of Elly Conway, a secluded author who pens popular espionage novels featuring Argylle, a clandestine agent. In these books, Argylle is on a quest to dismantle an international network of spies.

As a devoted reader, I must admit that when the intricate storylines of her novels eerily resemble the clandestine activities of a genuine espionage agency, the boundary between make-believe and true events becomes increasingly hazy for me.

In addition, he was featured in Guy Ritchie’s comedic spy movie titled “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare“, alongside Alan Ritchson who is known for his role as Reacher. At the film’s debut, Cavill shared that him and his partner Natalie Viscuso are anticipating their first child.

“I’m very excited about [fatherhood]. Natalie and I are very, very excited,” he said.

In an exciting turn of events, I’m thrilled to announce that I, as a fan, will see my favorite “Witcher” actor joining forces once more with director Ritchie in the upcoming action-thriller, titled “In the Grey“. This high-octane film also boasts an impressive cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Rosamund Pike, and Eiza González. Can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us!

Voltron doesn’t have a release date yet.
