Mingus Redus, the son of model Helena Christensen, was seen with an unidentified woman shortly after reports surfaced of his arrest on domestic violence allegations.
Norman Reedus’ 25-year-old son, whose mother is Christensen, was seen holding hands with someone during a seemingly romantic walk in New York City’s West Village.
He seemed happy and cheerful on his date, laughing with his companion as they strolled after getting coffee.
The couple matched in black: she wore a T-shirt, nylon pants, and boots, while he had on a black lace crop top with a denim miniskirt.
This recent sighting happened just under a month after his arrest on charges of assault and harassment.
The man, whose parents are well-known in the entertainment industry, was arrested on August 23rd. Sources say he made a concerning statement when he was released the following day.
He was charged with one count of assault and another of criminal obstruction of breathing.
He reportedly punched a woman in the leg, causing it to redden, then choked her and threw her to the ground.
Court records show the model also faces charges of reckless assault, along with two counts of harassment – one aggravated and one general, according to People magazine.
He has plead not guilty to all charges.

The news source examined a complaint where a woman told police that Mingus squeezed her neck with both hands, applying forceful pressure.
Prosecutors say he punched her in the leg and then pushed her to the ground, causing bruises, redness, and significant pain.

Reports indicate that Mingus was the one who called 911 Saturday morning, around 8:40 a.m., concerned about a woman in an apartment on West 16th Street. Apparently, she was struggling and had threatened to harm herself, and he reached out for help.

Officers arrested the man, and the woman was transported to Bellevue Hospital. Medical staff reported her condition was stable.

A few hours later, he walked out of the 10th precinct smiling, and officers then guided him into a police car.
When Mingus was briefly seen in public, a reporter questioned him about why he had contacted the police. He simply stated, ‘I didn’t.’
When a reporter pressed him for the truth about what occurred, he simply smiled, laughed, and said, ‘No.’
According to the Washington Post, Mingus claimed the situation was simply a misunderstanding right before police locked him inside the vehicle.
A woman who claimed to be his girlfriend also described the incident as a ‘misunderstanding.’
