Gethin, being a true gentleman, offered Helen his umbrella while they were near the Morning Live studios in Manchester. He got wet himself, but made sure she stayed dry.
Helen looked happy as she went out wearing loose-fitting Adidas trackpants, leading people to wonder if she and her partner are trying to rekindle their relationship.
The day after his father passed away, Gethin went back to work, and Helen was spotted bringing him coffee, likely to offer comfort and support.
Helen and Gethin previously appeared to have cooled off their reported romance.
She enjoyed the school break with her three children: nine-year-old Ernie, eight-year-old Louis, and four-year-old Elsie, who she shares with her former husband, Richie Myler.
And Gethin was recently spotted on celebrity dating app Raya.
Helen and Gethin became close friends earlier in the summer, spending time together both at work and during a relaxing spa getaway.
In May, the Daily Mail reported that the on-screen connection between the two had developed into something more, with sources describing them as behaving like a couple at a charity event last year, displaying affectionate physical touch.
Adding to the mystery surrounding their connection, representatives for both hosts declined to comment when asked about reports that they were seen leaving the BAFTA TV Awards together.
Helen has been single since ending her marriage with Richie in 2022. They share three children together.
The rugby league player and Helen were married for nine years. She shared on Instagram that she was heartbroken he had moved out.
Richie is now in a relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, whose father is the president of Leeds Rhinos. Together, they have two children, Olivia and Freddie.
