Helen Siff dead at 88: Modern Family and Will & Grace star passes away after ‘long, painful illness’

Helen Siff, a television editor famous for her contributions to the hit comedies Will & Grace and Modern Family, has died at the age of 88.

The celebrated performer passed away in Los Angeles on Thursday after a prolonged and difficult battle with an illness, her family announced.

The accomplished actress worked for over fifty years, appearing in both movies and TV shows.

In a statement, colleagues remembered Helen as more than just a gifted performer. They praised her professionalism, hard work, and the warmth she brought to every project.

Her family shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she believed every part, whether big or small, was a chance to add something important to a film or show.

Besides her television appearances, she also starred in several movies, such as The Karate Kid, Hail, Caesar!, and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan.

Victoria Siff Russell shared a touching post on Facebook honoring her mother, who recently passed away. The post included a slideshow of photos remembering her mother’s life.

She shared a video with a sad message: ‘It’s with a broken heart that I share the news of my mother, Helen Siff’s, passing.’

My mom was a truly special and talented actress – she worked in theater, television, and movies. But above all, she cherished being a mother and grandmother, and that was the most important role to her.

Victoria concluded the post with a sweet final message to her beloved mother.

She wrote: ‘You’ve taken your final bow , mommy . I will love you forever [two red heart emojis]’
