Helen Mirren and her husband, Taylor Hackford, looked very affectionate with each other while walking the red carpet at Tuesday’s Golden Eve event in Beverly Hills.
The Academy Award-winning actress, age 80, and her husband, an 81-year-old film director, recently shared a tender moment together. They’ve been married for 27 years, and in a recent photo, Helen was seen resting her head on his shoulder.
The singer, known for his work with Queen, looked sophisticated in a pale pink dress. The dress featured a knotted detail at the waist that flowed into a long, floor-length skirt.
She finished her outfit with a bold pink and cream pearl necklace and a matching handbag.
Taylor looked sharp in a black tuxedo and vest, and he seemed completely in love with his wife.


The celebrated actress, a three-time Golden Globe winner, received the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the ceremony, recognizing her long and significant impact on the entertainment industry.

Helen and Taylor, the former president of the Directors Guild of America, got married in Scotland in 1997 after dating for more than ten years.
Taylor and Helen first worked together in 1985 on the musical film White Nights. However, they didn’t initially connect, as Helen was surprisingly distant with him.
That same year also saw the end of the star’s five-year relationship with Liam Neeson, which received a lot of media attention.



Helen shared that she and her husband enjoyed quality time together, something they hadn’t experienced in about 30 years, when the Covid pandemic began.
In a 2022 interview on The Graham Norton Show, she discussed how the lockdown impacted her relationship.
Helen shared that after about 30 years of marriage, she and her husband began having dinner together every night for six months, which she described as a wonderful and positive experience.
Helen has no children with Taylor, or indeed at all, a decision she does not regret.
The movie Parenthood left her deeply moved, and she cried for about 20 minutes. She explained that the film’s message – that motherhood is a lifelong commitment that continues even after becoming a grandparent – really resonated with her.
She told The Sunday Times in 2016 that she came to terms with never having that experience. She admitted she’d been deeply upset by the loss of what might have been, and by never actually living it, but ultimately she moved past it and found happiness again.
